In a hurry, but lost time;

in #poetry6 years ago

 Years pass - and we did not live:
They laughed little, loved little.
We saw little, we read a little more,
And for some reason we were so tired.

We were in a hurry, but lost time;
Luckily they tried, but suffered a lot.
The truth was sought, doubting in oneself;
A holiday was waited, melancholy being given.

Often we were unhappy with ourselves:
They were exalted, then fell painfully.
We feared too much, We
rarely trusted our fate.

We all wanted to understand and master,
All amicably and wisely arrange.
Years pass - and we did not live:
They laughed little, loved little.
