sparkle and shine...
curiosity I invent
in the abyss
of your eyes
greedy
and forsaking
prudence,
I reach for your
outstretched hand
three nights
of glistening hope
bartered for a
lingering ache
in my core
I should mourn
my lapse in
judgement
but it seems
I have neglected
the art of weeping
for far too long
when the dust
has settled,
will I hold
redemption
or simply
a remnant of
fool’s gold?

as Nabokov says, the content doesn't matter,it's all about the form and these are beautiful words
Thank you, John :)
I love your ability to show feelings in your writing.
Thanks :) Sometimes it's a challenge lol!
I like how you were able to show the internal back-and-forth battle all the way through the last line. Nice write.
Thanks friend!! :)
I love the language that sounds so mystical but I didn't really understand it.
In a nutshell a person wrestling with emotions and consequences of a little tryst. :) Thanks Dee!
