Trump had a public meeting in the Oval Office today with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, the house majority and senate minority leaders respectively.
The brilliance in doing this is exposing the sort of hypocrisy of these two in regards to border security. Trump also makes it a point that he will shut down the government over the funding of the border wall and he would take all responsibility, because the truth is, all Americans want secure borders. Trump also points out that illegal immigration has dropped 80 to 90 percent in some locations where walls have been set up.
Trump is requesting $5 billion to fund the wall according to what he said today.
This is a win-win situation for Trump. He's putting the pressure on these Democrats to make a deal with most of the country on his side.
Hopefully the wall gets funded very soon and we can get started on building it.
