Trump campaigned on a pledge to drain the swamp and made specific promises about banishing lobbyists, however his actions tell a different story. I plan to profile some of the lobbyists he has been bringing on board. First up: John J Bartrum
In Health and Human Services, awaiting confirmation as Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources, Bartrum has lobbied for Micropact (Medicaid changes) Management and Training Corp (MTC) (for profit prisons), and BAE (defense contracts). Just what we need in health care: a swamp fox guarding the hen house.
John J Bartrum has also worked as a Republican staffer so he clearly loves a revolving door. He may be a perfectly good candidate/lawyer but he knows his way in and out of the swamp.
