The Ironic thing about the Equifax breach is that
Equifax the consumer data Giant ,sales Identity Theft Protection yet still feel victim to being breached.
143 Million Americans Now approximately 75% of the United States personal data fell victim to the hack.
Equifax is responding with ignorance to their consumers setting in place a website to use free services a protection for one year , and in return you waive the right to sue in it's fine print.
Richard Smith, Ex- CEO of Equifax has decided to step down, giving his condolences as he apologized for the Cyber attack that leaves 1 out of every 2 americans victim. Before stepping down from his position as CEO it was revealed Equifax sold 1.8 million dollars in stock
Before the news even got out, it was said they knew for at least a month before revealing the information to the public.
Equifax didn't want their stock to tank and lose value, the Equifax Company stock has dropped 13% value since this information has been released to the public.
How to find out if your information has been compromised go to the website Equifax security.com , this should give you the read if you've been have you been compromised. People who are not involved with Equifax still should find out if they'd been compromised, Transunion , Experian and Innovis has also been exposed to this hack.
