Election 2016: Hillary Clinton releases tax returns

in #politics8 years ago

Hillary Clinton has released her tax returns, putting pressure on the Trump campaign to finally offer up details on his taxes and uncover the question everyone keeps asking, “Is Donald Trump as wealthy as he leads us to believe?”

Clinton’s 2015 return doesn't reveal much more about her income as they are similar to previous years. While the DNC and Hillary campaigns set the spotlight on Donald’s murky financial history, let’s not forget the glaring gray areas between Bill and Hillary’s speeches, the Clinton Foundation, and the time Hillary Clinton was secretary of state.

Questions are being raised by independent media groups and prominent Republicans leaders, such as former presidential candidate Senator Rand Paul, about Clinton Foundation donations being made by high profile individuals and groups who later had business with then Secretary Hillary Clinton. It remains to be seen if the Trump campaign is going to pick up on this more heavily, but regardless GOP senators and party leaders will be sure to keep up with it until November.

If Trump wants a shot at the whitehouse he needs to win, or at least improve his standing with, tons of groups he's currently losing. I don't know what he should do. If there is no bombshell in his tax returns he would have already released them, but not releasing them might make people wonder more than they already are about why he won't.

I agree; or option 3 he is doing to be Trump and go against the flow. Just like I think Ted Cruz not endorsing Trump was a brilliant plan in response to Bernie Sanders endorsing Hillary Clinton.
