If everyone starts working hard, why can’t everyone become a billionaire?[480words]

in #politics7 years ago

A person needs 60 000 dollars a year to be as happy as material security can provide. Anything above that does not contribute to happiness.

To become a billionaire means that you are the right person to make productive investments. To expand the currently untapped potential of technology, research, etc.

You don’t become a billionaire because it’s cool. You become if you are one of the very few that are insanely invested in discovering the most efficient way to make stuff. And not just some stuff, a lot of stuff. If you like doing pizza the right way than you may be a millionaire but not a billionaire.

If everyone would be billionaires it would mean that everyone on the planet would be just as good as finding the efficient way to build/do stuff that we need. Reality disagrees.

It would mean that everyone is insanely dedicated to achieve that and ignore everything else in their life, like family.

The billionaires that you see on a permanent vacation is a fairy tale. They didn’t take vacations 20 years straight and slept 6 hours a day and tried everything and sacrificed everything to get there. Once they are there it seems to the viewer that look at them how much time they have to play golf…

So not everyone can become a billionaire because:

  • you have to have a 140+ IQ
  • you have to work 80+ hours per week for 10–30 years
  • you have to have some luck on top of the first 2
  • you have to have a lot of different skills not just good at building stuff
  • you have to be charismatic and persuasive
  • you have to be able to live without people loving you or relationships
  • have the dedication to an ideal that can’t change after 1 year
  • be immune to tiredness, boredom, and depression.
    and much more.

Well at least you can play golf and fly in a private plane after 20 years of this stuff and people will flock to steal from you and society will bitch about you fair share even if you pay most of the taxes that they use. Women/man will want to sleep with you so that they can sue you for rape or extort money or make a kid and make you pay alimony. You will need an army of lawyers to just conserve what you earned.

This is just stress, stress, stress after a life of stress and stress. That gold plate filled with sushi doesn't go well with the feeling that you could lose most of it in a couple of years and all your effort wasted.

You forgot to add, or you can be a billionaire's kid and inherit the wealth after daddy's passing and spend your way down to a millionaire 🙊

This is really deep. Definitely something I'll ponder about.

I like your thoughts, its true most of the millionaires, are dedicated/passionate for money in priority . I believe its a false sense of security they are up for and many end isolated, because instead of security they fear too loose what they have. They also believe they control money, but in fact, they are controlled by money, because money controls their emotion, their decisions, their life and their relationships. Though its true, many people dont reach that point to find out its actually true and not a saying, being a millionaire doesnt make you lucky.
