Front Row, Center Stage at the Minneapolis Trump Rally

in #politics5 years ago

President Trump visited my home state of Minnesota last week and held a rally in the heart of liberal cesspool Minneapolis. He only lost Minnesota in 2016 by 1.5% points. It will be in play for the 2020 election and he feels he has a great shot of winning. The last time a Republican won Minnesota was Nixon in 1972! It been a long time coming.

This is the second rally I have attended. I went to his Duluth rally last year and it was a wonderful experience. For the Duluth one I had to drive up very early and wait in line for hours. This time I was set up with a friends and family pass from a friend who works in the secret service.

I still had to show up early (1pm), but I was escorted in to the Target Center before the general public and had my pick of spots. It was still a long day of waiting around, but it was totally worth it for the vantage point I was able to get for a historic rally.

I posted a little about my experience on Facebook sharing the difference between the atmosphere inside the rally compared to the nasty protest atmosphere outside. Below is that post along with some pics form the day. Enjoy!

"Tonight was such a wonderful evening! 20,000 plus American loving individuals met at Target Center to support our President and our Country. The atmosphere was electric! The love, acceptance and comradery with people from all over was truly magical. I did not witness any protesting when I came or left but I heard the atmosphere outside Target Center was the complete opposite, nasty and not what we expect out of fellow Minnesotans. Hopefully the stories I am hearing are embellished but if they are not this saddens me greatly. #benice #kag #Trump2020"

I'm not a fan, but that's cool that you got to see him there! Hopefully getting in and out wasn't too bad...

You don't have to be a fan. We all have our own thoughts and beliefs. It was really cool to be so close to a President. Getting in was easy because the Secret Service escorted me in. Leaving took a little while, but going through the skyway allowed me to evade all the nasty protesters outside.

That was the big concern. I saw video of Hennepin Ave, and I wanted to be as far away from there as possible.
