This is my first post on this interesting page, recommended by a great friend and the best way to start in this journey is talking about a subject that is already part of my daily life. Nowadays Venezuela is that country where everything is possible, where the most absurd event become reality every day, but, what most people in the world ask about my country it's true? Is really everything that is said so much in social networks as in the media is it true? Is there really an authoritarian government? Throughout this post I will try to explain our current situation, as a Venezuelan that I am, that lives through this situation in its own flesh.
First of all, I must clarify my political position. I have been against the government since I was a child, maybe at that age I did not understand why I did it, but I simply let myself be led by what my surroundings thought, but now with 19 years old I have enough reasons to have a political position. Now, being against the government does not mean supporting the opposition politicians, it's simply summarized in not agreeing with the Government. In 2017 the government violated all types of laws to install itself in power for a totally indefinite period, something that has sown tremendous uncertainties in the population. In a way, the accusation of being authoritarian is not entirely absurd, because the government has managed to earn that "distinction". Now one way to generate more panic in people, is that the politicians on the opposing side do not take the relevant actions to these events, in a few words, they do not seem very interested in solving the crisis that plagues the population today.
But, is all the fault of the politicians? While it is true that the management of the Government has led the country to bankruptcy, generating famine in the population, I would like to question if there really is no other element that can be considered guilty. The Venezuelan, yes, that being that despite going through a crisis thinks about himself only, thinks about buying basic products to resell them later with expensive prices, thinks about going out to steal because he doesn't want to work, he chooses the easy thing before the right thing. I believe that the problem in Venezuela it's the education, the lack of it is by far it's the big problem, and unfortunately we will pay dearly in the future, I will not generalize saying that they are ALL Venezuelans, but it is already a big part. You could say that these Venezuelans are the product of our situation.
As a Venezuelan, there is no day when I get depressed, since my current aspirations are summarized in leaving Venezuela, for the simple fact that in this country the conditions for a decent life are no longer available, where you can go to a market to buy what you want, where the salary reaches you for something or where you can go out without worrying about being robbed. Would I like to be a professional in a free Venezuela? Of course, yes, this is my beloved home and nothing would make me happier than living here for the rest of my life, but I suppose that my dream was taken from me by that corrupt Venezuelan, full of hate, and who only thinks of himself.

Really liked the post. You articulated the trials of you're country well and even though it is going through difficulties, you hold it in high regard. Look forward to reading more about the situation and your point of view. Hope you can find more opportunities outside the country. Anywhere in particular you want to go? Also, I agree, education is paramount. Also, may I suggest posting a introduction in the introduce yourself section.
