RE: Story of the Day: Learning to Work With Others

It's nice to know that Leo is facing challenges to work with people at a young age, and to have to guide him. His ability to communicate and work with (difficult) people will be extremely useful in the future, regardless how much technology will replace the things we do.

I'm often reminded of the story of how Charles Schwab was one of the very first people in the world to be paid $1mil salary by industrialist Andrew Carnegie, just because Charles has an amazing ability to relate with people. BTW, this was in the early 1900, when $1mil is a really, really big thing.

Heck, even now, $1mil/year is one heck of a nice salary!

Yeah I too think this would be useful for him in the future. If he avoids dealing with this, he would still have to face difficult people in the future too.

I didn't know about Charles Schwab but being paid $1mil is certainly very rewarding for having relational skills. It shows relational skills is as valuable as knowledge. This skill is actually rather hard to learn and we have to learn it for a lifetime. Haha. Thanks for your thoughts @maverickfoo. Appreciate you dropping by :)

Communication is such a commodity, that even being able to speak to machine, animals and people (who may behave like animals) can draw high salary!

Haha this cracked me up, thanks @maverickfoo for putting a light conclusion to this! :D
