5k HBD +

in #preis3 years ago

5 days ago, HIVE pumped on Binance.
Prices went up to 1.3 US$.

I woke up that day, checked Discord and saw @altonos had pinged me about it in the middle of the night.
I then did some investigation and found a post by @kingscrown.
Think about that guy what you want- he has been farming STEEM and HIVE hard- but he has been around forever and his tipps are solid.

Usually, when HIVE pumps, HBD pumps with it and I can not profit on the pump without moving coins through a third party. That sucks and I had to watch a lot of these pumps on the sidelines.

This time, HBD stayed around 1 US$ and I had to take advantage.

...there is always a chance, that the pumping continues and the price never drops down again;
I was willing to take that risk and sold 15k HIVE for 17.9k HBD @1.20:

The order got filled and the price dropped, like I expected.

So I bought the HIVE back @ 0.85

Leaving me with ~5k HBD more in the account than before.

I am quite happy about this trade and wanted to brag a little.

Also I would like to advertise my price Discord.
If you want to talk #price -especially the internal market, but crypto in general:

In the channel we discussed the above trades and it can really help with these decissions, when you can bounce your ideas off of other traders.
I'd like to populate the server and share some of my experience after trading HIVE for 5 years.

Godspeed!

Smart - hab den Jump erst mitbekommen, als er schon durch war.

Eine trading short position als Zock ist aber dennoch riskant.

Ist aber ja bereits geschlossen.

Nice one!
But to keep the 37K Hive you have in your wallet liquid has also quite some opportunity costs. Assuming 10% APR in curation rewards you lose 3700 Hive per year by keeping that amount liquid. You have to offset this from your gains.

True.

My reason:

I am expecting a massive pump some time between now and next year may (and then a consequential dump) and I want to have the funds liquid then.

I expect a top at 3-8$/HIVE and a bounce back to current price levels.

Wow, that would be something!
I think chances are high that we would dump back, but not to the current levels, as this would happen only in an environment with a massive influx of new money.

I don't quite understand. Do you think we would tank below current levels?

I think 80 cents range will be the lowest we will see from now on (but I am not betting on that).
There will be a BTC pump to 100k this year or beginning of next year and then with some delay HIVE will pump. Then we will enter a bear market and the challenge will be to find the bottom.
I am confident to bet my liquid HIVE and will blog about it accordingly.

No, I meant if we lets say pump to 3$, I don´t think(hope) that we would go back to 80c, but end the dump phase still higher than 1$ or so. Unless, as you say, a new bear market emerges. But once we had >100K, the new bear market might still be better than what we have right now. Anyway, enough speculations, time will tell.

I was willing to take that risk and sold 15k HIVE for 17.9k HBD @1.20

$17 900 HBD? That is an incredible high amount of money for me. Imagine having a pension-like income of approximately $250 USD per month (approximately $3000 USD per year). Yes, this is me. I am living in financial discrimination (under the local minimum wage) with multiple disabilities.

Greetings from Hungary.

I know your situation. You told me.

I started at 0 and got all that money from my blog here.

You are one of the few lucky people to earn that with Hive blogging. Most people (including me) earn cents with most of their posts.

Well, congratulations anyway. I hope that something will help me with the financial discrimination. If not Hive, then something else. But I really hope that Hive will help in long term. This is why I am powering up Hive, and staking tokens.

maybe shouldn't have spun and spammed content

Sorry, but what are you talking about? I never spammed. Nor in posts, neither in comments. And most people do not spam either, yet they are also earning cents.

I agree the word spam has a wide meaning, maybe if you took more time to focus on less posts people would want to reward you more, I do understand that it was easy to shit out 4 posts per day if you were just directly translating stuff someone else wrote though.

I no longer do that. I already apologized for that multiple times, and everyone accepted it.

Glückwunsch!

Well, that's just some nice way of getting more and more.

Great job friend, if you know how to take advantage of the opportunities that arise. Congratulations to you

Nice trade!

Well... you rock!

I've always wondered how it is to take advantage of this pumps and bears of hive

Congratulations on your winning trade.

Congratulations, worth a brag.

I don't have the head for this HBD-HIVE thing, but Kudos for taking the risk, glad it paid off!
