Mmmm looks like someone or multiple people are panic selling some HIVE or selling due to exiting the network.. If you're like me and realize that these short term bear markets caused by people stepping out of HIVE are a hell of an opportunity to stock up on cheap coins then its a good time.
A good chance to get your cost per a unit down if you bought at a higher price. Averaging out your price when buying crypto is always a good idea and hopefully tonight after work I'll get paid some BTC to try and catch some of this dip for myself. End of the day you can look at the HIVE price falling as a terrible omen.. Or you can look at it in the way it actually is.. which is folks with large stakes selling off and leaving the ecosystem because they've convinced themselves the platform is a community is a dead end, which personally, I find a hilarious sentiment.
Pre Hardfork dump? Fuck yeah! Thank you to the weak hands for driving the price down before we update and get some attention due to the network update. My only regret is that I've not got more BTC or other alts to snap up this cheap HIVE as the ones selling it cash out their bags for peanuts instead of waiting and cashing them out for steaks.
If you're shook by the price drop by all means panic sell (although impulsive and dumb) but those who aren't scared of a little discounted HIVE should be looking at this and drooling at the discount.

HIVE and STEEM seem to be neck-and-neck as they drop against Bitcoin. I think only one of them has the resilience to bounce back after bottoming out, though, and it ain't Sun's chain.
I'd not be terribly upset if that was the case. The old chain can die.

unfortunately most of my other crypto is LTC which is also down, so the ratio between HP:LTC is not much better than it was before, something like 295HP per LTC which is still really good but not completely reflective of the massive change in value compared to just having BTC laying around.
also if anyone needs a word of encouragement: just think about the overall value as if this were a giant fragmented company. The entire Hive ecosystem valued at ~45mil. Does that sound normal to you? I think it's a safe bet, not only because of the technology/infrastructure and auxiliary systems, but because there are legendary people at every turn around here developing things for hive. It would probably cost the full 45mil just to hire half these people for a single year only to do what they're already doing, lol.
