Pass the Butter Robot in Rick and Morty TV show

A robotics blogger has used the method of 3D printing to develop the miserable "Butter Robot" from the animated sci-fi series 'Rick and Morty'. The base of the created robot consists of an “I Spy tank” RC car, with 3D Printed parts added on the top of the tank. The moveable middle part can be controlled via any smartphone while the upper part is 3D Printed.

Rick and Morty, The Sci-fi series:

The fans of Adult Swim show ‘Rick and Morty’ won't have to wait too longer for the launch of its third series. However some of the fans engage themselves in the shows bizarre before launching of the third series of the swim show 'Rick and Morty'.

Just before the launching of the season premiere, technology blogger ESDEV has created, Rick and Morty inspired 3D Printed robot, for the soon-to-be-continued series and a valuable addition to our list of cool 3D printing stuff.

The Butter Robot:

The 3d Printed Robot in the series, ‘the butter robot', last seen in the Season 1 episode "Something Ricked This way Comes." In the episode, all the family members are on breakfast table, when a little boy come to the table asking for help for his Science project from rick and his dad.

On the same time, Rick was seen ordering a robot to 'pass the butter' at his breakfast table. The Robot complete its task before request, the butter robot grab the butter and pass it to Rick and asked, "what is my purpose?” Rick explained, "pass the butter", upon which robot was little confused, uttering desperate "Oh my god." Rick responded back: "Yeah, Welcome to the club, pal.

“Pass the Butter”, 3d printed Robot:

Little funky yet highly memorable characters and objects from the series Rick and Morty are often referred online, eventual cult status, and mostly 3D Printed replicas, so it’s not surprising to see the ‘Butter Robot’ now getting the manufacturing treatment from the tech savvy YouTube blogger ESDEV, real name Andre.

Andre, a tech savvy YouTube blogger created ‘The Butter Robot’ and embedded the same functionality that can be seen in the series ‘Rick and Morty’. Andre video show the function of 3D Printed Robot that is to “Pass the Butter”. The ‘Butter Robot goes viral due to its presence in the famous sci-fi series.’ The butter fetching android has already been created in the LEGO, but the new 3d Printed version open the door for many creators to make their own 3D Printed Butter Robots.

The Robot’s Performance and functionality:
Andre’s the creator of 3D Printed “Butter Robot” show the performance of the Robot in his video and the only task the Robot need to perform is “passing the butter.” Andre promised to release the STL and SolidWorks files for print in the future.

The base of the Butter Robot is a painted “I Spy Tank”, controlled via tablet or smartphone, while the moving part and the upper sections are made up of 3d Printed parts.

The ‘Butter Robot’ move with the help of signals passing out from the smartphone device that enable the moving functionality of robot, then reaching to the butter, the robot bend and pick the butter. Although it’s very simple task to be performed but the robot gets famous due to its presence in the famous show Rick and Morty.

Andre, promised the release of SolidWorks and STL files:

Although most of the makers are expecting the release of SolidWorks and STL files for the 3D Printed robot but some of the YouTube Commenters reached out to Andre about the possibility of buying already made model. Makers will be able to see the 3D Printed butter robot files using a painting service like Shapeways if they don’t have a 3D printer to hand.
