This occurs when the crude oil during drillage is exposed and destroys the environment
Oil spill can lead to contamination of surrounding water bodies
When this surrounding body is contaminated .. it could affect everything and person
the fishes in the see contract the contaminated oil into their skin and kills them..
most times the oil causes lack of oxygen for the fishes and kills them
This oil spillage also disrupts recreational activities as people can no longer swim in contaminated water, surfing , boating etc.
It renders the water unsuitable for drinking and domestic activities..
