Hello Steemians far and wide,
It only took about a week and change longer than I had planned, but it's time now to announce the program for our Philly March Steemit Meetup and once again invite you to join in the fun!
This month's meetup will be focused on how to create good content and deliver value to the community! We'll be analyzing what makes for good and bad posts and prominent Steemians to use as models.
Program:
Matt Rosen (witness, @Yabapmatt ): On how to build your reputation, raise your profile, and increase your STEEM earnings, on Steemit and other STEEM sites.
Dan Fishman (event host, @hypnopreneur ): The fundamentals of content creation - understanding your own value/s, knowing your audience, structuring your posts and delivering value to you followers. The AIDA Model. Plus - STEEM as a social currency economy.
Announcements: Contest Details - #Steemitphilly $100 worth of upvotes giveway for best content ($50 1st prize, $30 2nd prize, $20 3rd prize). That's right, we're giving away $100 worth of upvotes for whoever provides the best posts between now and the next event!
Announcements: #Steemitphilly - $5 upvotes for every community member who posts.
New STEEM Accounts will be generated for new users. Do you have friends who aren't yet on the STEEM blockchain, but want to get in on the action? Bring them out, we got you!
Special Guest - @djcarlitoz - local DJ hero Carlitoz will be on hand to provide chill, funky sounds throughout the evening. (He might even take a few requests for some SBD tips)

Hey Dan, this is Mello. Thank you for hosting the meetup. I this was my first meetup and I really had a great time. I enjoyed meeting everyone. I wish I could have stayed longer but I had to get back to my family and get some rest for my day job. Meeting Matt @yabapmatt was really cool. Can’t wait for the next one. By any chance will you share the list of attendees? I didn’t jot down everyone username to follow.
Hi Mello, was good meeting you buddy. :) Really glad you came out and enjoyed yourself. No worries that you had to leave when you did, the important thing is that you got there, made some new friends and got to see what we're all about.
I do a recap post after each meetup to share with everyone what went on. And I try in include a mention of everyone's Steem name so that people can make those connections. Just keep an eye out and look through some the two previous meetup recaps in my blog for additional community people.
Oh and we made an account last night to aggregate all the local activity. I'll make a seperate post announcement in a few days to say more, so just keep an eye open for it.
