On one of my previous post, i had writen on the representation of one steem dollar in Uganda. To day i would like to share on various items that you can buy just with a steem dollar in Uganda. On actual price 1 steem dollar stands for 4.3 USDollars, which makes almost 16 000 Uganda shillings.
So I had selected some items that may be The world wide steemians would wish to spend with just a steem dollar when reaching to Uganda. These below items are based on the actual market and only face a very small fluctuation from the market price.
Here is the list
1 African made bag: This bag has a price of 15,000 Uganda shillings and it portrays the beauty of the country through the flag color design
2. A simple phone : These phones can be a bit expensive but second hands phones can vary between 1.5 to 2 steem dollars which means from 20,000 to 35 000 uganda shillings
3. Shinning clock: Such clocks can also be available with just 15 to 20 thousands uganda shillings, making 1 or 1.2 steem dollars
4.Parcolator: There are a variety of parcolator that you can purchase with just 1 or 1.4 steem dollar as the price ranges from 20.000 to 16,000 uganda shillings
5. Five Tea cups: I will just give a sample of the tipe of tea cups you can find at 16,000 uganda shillings, just one steem dollars.
6. A dozen of beer bottles: You can actually take your 6 friends for some beers where everyone will have 2 bottles with just one steem dollar. just amazing.
7.A dozen bar soap: In uganda, the most preferred bar soap is called white soap bar. The estimated price in steem dollar per box can be 0.9 to 1.2 steem dollar. In Uganda shillings, this can be from 15,000 to 20,000 uganda shillings.
8. One original trouser: The trousers vary depending on the type of trouser you wish. For this type the price can be estimated from 0.7 to 1.1steem dollars. It is estimated that this is the best quality among the trousers.
9.Home plastic pot: You can use these ones for homes and the price can be 6000 uganda shillings( 0.5 steem dollars). You can purchase two with one steem dollar.
10 Wonderful hand made décor: 1 steem dollar or almost 20.000 steem dollars.
11. Sport shoes, first hand: You can purchase approximately one first hand shoe with just a steem dollar, but if you want second hand shoes, then even three shoes you can be able to purchase since they are somehow cheap.

13. A confortable hotel room for a night: I just took an example of a middle class person with little to spend. Some big hotels can be so expensive but still you can find a simple one with just one steem dollar per night. I do use them sometimes when i travel. The night can cost 10,000 uganda shillings ( 0.7 steem dollar )
14. Uganda traditional items: These items have great value to the Uganda community. If you can purchase to a ugandan, then i would advice you to buy this item with just one steem dollar.
15. Two to three plates of Uganda food with drinks: Humm...you may not know the taste of this food but i assure you it's the best ever food preferred in uganda. This food can range between 4000 to 5000 uganda shillings . It is comprise of matooke ''local banana'', beef, patatoes, some greens with some macaroni. OMG, i just feel like preparing it.
16.A box of pens: A box of pen is estimated to be at 16 thousand ugx , meaning 1 steem dollar. If you are a student or you write more, purchase a full box of pens for you and your siblings.lol
17.Classrooms desks: In local cities, these desks are just made with only 20,000 ugx approximatly 1.5 steem dollars/per desk. If you want to build a school then i believe purchasing desks can not be expensive if you have your steem dollars.
18. Two Punching machines: You can get some small size punching machines at 0.5 steem dollar each, meaning that each can cost on average 7000 uganda shillings
You're making me want to visit Uganda, @jona12. You mention tea, but I've also heard there is great coffee in Kampala. As for the rolls of TP, I hope that amount will not be needed for a brief stay. LOL
He should start a travel agency/service. Maybe even help some whales retire in Uganda and live like kings. lol

Wow! Is it safe for white people down there? I thought the pants were a good deal but that hotel deal is super awesome! Too bad shipping costs are high but maybe you guys could still start selling some stuff on steembay.
