The first home we rented in New England was the source of ongoing discovery. It's in "downtown" LOL Weatogue, built in 1800. It has an outbuilding, a carriage house and a basement! Kids in Texas don't grow up with basements, you see.
In this basement, my fave space in the house, was a root cellar. Of course, I never used it, but I loved finding it.
