We must find a way to share God's goodness with other people, is Jesus' recommendation in his word.
16 While Paul waited for them in Athens, his spirit was provoked because he saw the city given over to idolatry. 17 So he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and the devout, and daily in the marketplace with those who came along. 18 Some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers were disputing with him. Some were saying, "What does this babbler mean?" Others were saying, "He seems to be a preacher of new gods," for he was preaching to them the gospel of Jesus and the resurrection. 19 And they took him and brought him to the Areopagus, saying, "May we know what this new teaching you are speaking of? 20 For you are bringing strange things to our ears. We therefore wish to know what this means." 21 (For all the Athenians and the foreigners living there cared for nothing else but to say or hear something new.)
22 Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, "Men of Athens, I perceive that you are very religious in all things. 23 For as I passed by and considered your holy places, I found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, whom you worship, without knowing him, I declare to you. 24 The God who made the world and everything in it, since he is Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made with hands, 25 nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything. He gives to all life and breath and all things. 26 And from one blood he made every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has predetermined the times and the boundaries of their habitation, 27 so that they should seek God, if perhaps they might grope and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 28 For in him we live and move and have our being, as some of your own poets have said, "We are his offspring." 29 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like gold or silver or stone, carved by human art and imagination. 30 But the times of ignorance God overlooked, and now commands all people everywhere to repent, 31 because he has appointed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man whom he has appointed, having given assurance to all by raising him from the dead. 32 But when they heard about the resurrection of the dead, some mocked, and others said, "We will hear you again about this." 33 So Paul left them.
Acts 17:16-33
We ask ourselves many questions throughout life, and some of the most relevant are: What is God like? Is it possible to have a direct relationship with God? Who is the one true God? Many people in the Bible, and even up to the present day, including ourselves, have faced these questions at some point.
Consider the previous passage and think about our daily lives: entering a church and sitting in front of an image, a huge bronze statue, or a golden statue. The service begins, we sing, we listen to a sermon, and we leave many offerings at the feet of the altar. The service continues, the music ends, and we return. Can you imagine what worship was like? It's vain. Would there be joy in this? Would there be peace and security in this kind of worship? Do you have anything to do with the coming of Jesus Christ? Does it generate any kind of hope for the future? What feeling does bowing before a simple statue leave you listening to? Let's imagine that kind of image and think about what feeling it generates in us.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:3-4
We remember that the apostle Paul was in Athens and answered every question people asked him while he was preaching about the true God. This is not very different from today's times. Today we can be like the apostle Paul by giving answers from God, since God's desire is for everyone to recognize Him, and we have that responsibility.
As children of God, we have the honor and privilege of relating directly to our Father through Jesus Christ, while at the same time, there are millions of people around the world who have never heard of or even have any idea that a Savior exists. Let us be nonconformists in the way we live our faith in silence; let us be strategic in finding ways to share the knowledge of God with people and thus bring the peace, security, and joy that comes from the salvation that comes through Jesus Christ.

Debemos encontrar la manera de compartir la bondad de Dios con otras personas, es la recomendación de Jesús en su palabra.
16 Mientras Pablo los esperaba en Atenas, su espíritu se enardecía viendo la ciudad entregada a la idolatría. 17 Así que discutía en la sinagoga con los judíos y piadosos, y en la plaza cada día con los que concurrían. 18 Y algunos filósofos de los epicúreos y de los estoicos disputaban con él; y unos decían: ¿Qué querrá decir este palabrero? Y otros: Parece que es predicador de nuevos dioses; porque les predicaba el evangelio de Jesús, y de la resurrección. 19 Y tomándole, le trajeron al Areópago, diciendo: ¿Podremos saber qué es esta nueva enseñanza de que hablas? 20 Pues traes a nuestros oídos cosas extrañas. Queremos, pues, saber qué quiere decir esto. 21 (Porque todos los atenienses y los extranjeros residentes allí, en ninguna otra cosa se interesaban sino en decir o en oír algo nuevo.)
22 Entonces Pablo, puesto en pie en medio del Areópago, dijo: Varones atenienses, en todo observo que sois muy religiosos; 23 porque pasando y mirando vuestros santuarios, hallé también un altar en el cual estaba esta inscripción: AL DIOS NO CONOCIDO. Al que vosotros adoráis, pues, sin conocerle, es a quien yo os anuncio. 24 El Dios que hizo el mundo y todas las cosas que en él hay, siendo Señor del cielo y de la tierra, no habita en templos hechos por manos humanas, 25 ni es honrado por manos de hombres, como si necesitase de algo; pues él es quien da a todos vida y aliento y todas las cosas. 26 Y de una sangre ha hecho todo el linaje de los hombres, para que habiten sobre toda la faz de la tierra; y les ha prefijado el orden de los tiempos, y los límites de su habitación; 27 para que busquen a Dios, si en alguna manera, palpando, puedan hallarle, aunque ciertamente no está lejos de cada uno de nosotros. 28 Porque en él vivimos, y nos movemos, y somos; como algunos de vuestros propios poetas también han dicho: Porque linaje suyo somos. 29 Siendo, pues, linaje de Dios, no debemos pensar que la Divinidad sea semejante a oro, o plata, o piedra, escultura de arte y de imaginación de hombres. 30 Pero Dios, habiendo pasado por alto los tiempos de esta ignorancia, ahora manda a todos los hombres en todo lugar, que se arrepientan; 31 por cuanto ha establecido un día en el cual juzgará al mundo con justicia, por aquel varón a quien designó, dando fe a todos con haberle levantado de los muertos.
32 Pero cuando oyeron lo de la resurrección de los muertos, unos se burlaban, y otros decían: Ya te oiremos acerca de esto otra vez. 33 Y así Pablo salió de en medio de ellos.
Hechos 17:16-33
Muchas preguntas que nos hacemos durante la vida y algunas de las más relevantes son las siguientes ¿cómo es Dios? ¿Es posible tener una relación directa con Dios? ¿Quién es el único Dios verdadero?. Muchísimas personas en la Biblia y hasta el momento actual incluyéndonos nosotros nos hemos enfrentado en algún momento estas preguntas.
Consideramos el pasaje anterior y pensemos en nuestra vida cotidiana entrando a una iglesia y nos sentamos enfrente a una imagen, ante una estatua grandísima de bronce o una estatua de oro, inicia el culto cantamos, escuchamos algún que otro sermón y dejamos muchísimas ofrendas en los pies desatado, continúa el culto termina la música y volvemos. ¿Te imaginas que esto fuese la adoración? Es algo vano, ¿habría gozo en esto?, ¿habría paz y seguridad en este tipo de adoración?, ¿Tienes tú algo que ver con la venida de Jesucristo? Nos genera algún tipo de esperanza para el futuro? ¿Qué sensación de escucha te deja el hecho de inclinarte ante una simple estatua?. Imaginemos ese tipo de cuadro y pensemos que sensación nos genera.
Porque esto es bueno y agradable delante de Dios nuestro Salvador, 4 el cual quiere que todos los hombres sean salvos y vengan al conocimiento de la verdad.
1 Timoteo 2:3-4
Recordamos que el apóstol Pablo estuvo en Atenas y respondió a cada pregunta que las personas le hacían al momento que estaba predicando acerca del Dios verdadero. Esto no es muy diferente a los tiempos actuales, hoy podemos ser semejantes al apóstol Pablo dando respuestas de quienes Dios ya que el deseo de Dios es que todos reconozcan y nosotros tenemos esa Responsabilidad.
Como hijos de Dios tenemos el honor y el privilegio de relacionarnos directamente con nuestro padre a través de Jesucristo mientras que al mismo momento hay millones de personas alrededor del mundo que nunca escucharon ni siquiera tienen idea de qué existe un salvador. Seamos inconforme en la manera de vivir la fe en silencio, seamos estrategas para encontrar la manera de compartir el conocimiento de Dios con las personas y así dar paz, seguridad y gozo que produce la salvación que es por medio de Jesucristo.
