God as a Father offers us comfort in any situation, not only in the best but also in the worst circumstances, even when the pain and suffering are a consequence of our own sinful actions.
And Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2 Early in the morning He returned to the temple courts, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. 3 Then the scribes and the Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. 4 They said to Him, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of adultery. 5 And Moses in the law commanded us to stone such women. What then do You say?" 6 But they said this, testing Him, that they might accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger. 7 And when they continued to question Him, He lifted Himself up and said to them, "Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." 8 And he bowed down again, and wrote on the ground. 9 But when they heard this, convicted by their conscience, they went out one by one, beginning at the eldest and going down to the last. Only Jesus was left, and the woman standing in the middle. 10 Jesus straightened up and saw no one except the woman and said to her, "Woman, where are your accusers? Has no one condemned you?" 11 She said, "Nor do I condemn you; go and sin no more."
John 8:1-11
God promises many things in his word. He promises that everything he does for and through us is only for our good. He also promises to comfort us in every situation, and we wonder, even when we ourselves are the ones who cause suffering and pain.
As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you, and you will be comforted in Jerusalem.
Isaiah 66:13
Many children of God, many people who have placed their lives in Jesus' hands, ask themselves this question and respond with a resounding no. It means they think God will not comfort them or will leave them aside when the cause of their suffering or pain is due to intentional actions that led to that suffering. But we simply need to know that God does not condemn us when we sin.
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness,
And their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Hebrews 8:12
God simply, by His grace, forgets all our iniquities, but this does not mean that the consequences of our sin are erased. We naturally receive the results of what we sow, but God is still faithful to guide us through those results, even when they are not what we desire. Let's recall for a moment that story of the adulterous woman who was brought before the Pharisees when she was caught in adultery. The religious leaders were about to stone him, and at that very moment Jesus showed compassion and spoke in that way, not approving of her sin because she was already facing the consequences of her actions. But if he forgave her, saying, "Go and sin no more," there we have the key: we forsake sin and turn away from it.
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
Romans 8:38
Absolutely nothing and no one can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. God also expresses his love through the promise to comfort us in the midst of suffering, even when that suffering is a consequence of our own intentional actions. Shame should not be an obstacle that separates us from the arms of God. We understand that He rejects sin, but we, as sinners, embrace and comfort us; we must run to His arms.

Dios como padre nos ofrece consuelo en cualquier situación no sólo en las mejores sino en las peores circunstancias aún cuando el dolor el sufrimiento es como consecuencia de nuestras propias acciones pecaminosas.
y Jesús se fue al monte de los Olivos. 2 Y por la mañana volvió al templo, y todo el pueblo vino a él; y sentado él, les enseñaba. 3 Entonces los escribas y los fariseos le trajeron una mujer sorprendida en adulterio; y poniéndola en medio, 4 le dijeron: Maestro, esta mujer ha sido sorprendida en el acto mismo de adulterio. 5 Y en la ley nos mandó Moisés apedrear a tales mujeres. Entonces Jesús le dijo: Ni yo te condeno; vete, y no peques más.
Juan 8:1-11
Dios promete muchísimas cosas en su palabra, promete que todo lo que hace para y por nosotros es solamente para nuestro bien, también promete consolarnos en cualquier situación y nosotros nos preguntamos ¿aún cuando somos nosotros mismos lo que provocamos el sufrimiento y el dolor?.
Como aquel a quien consuela su madre, así os consolaré yo a vosotros, y en Jerusalén tomaréis consuelo.
Isaías 66:13
Muchos hijos de Dios, muchas personas que se han puesto sus vidas en las manos de Jesús se hacen esta preguntan y se responden con un rotundo no es decir piensan que Dios no les va a consolar o los va a dejar de lado cuando la causa del sufrimiento o el dolor es por las acciones intencionales que le ha llevado a ese sufrimiento. Pero simplemente debemos saber que Dios no nos condena cuando pecamos.
Porque seré propicio a sus injusticias,
Y nunca más me acordaré de sus pecados y de sus iniquidades.
Hebreos 8:12
Dios simplemente por su gracia olvida todas nuestras iniquidades, pero esto no significa que se borran las consecuencias de nuestro pecado, nosotros naturalmente tenemos el resultado de lo que sembramos pero aún así Dios es fiel para guiarnos en medio de esos resultados aún cuando no sean lo que deseamos. Recordemos por un momento que esa historia de la mujer adúltera que fue llevada delante de los fariseos cuando fue sorprendida en adulterio, los máximos líderes religiosos estaban apunto de apedrearlo y en ese mismo momento Jesús mostró compasión y habló de esa forma sin aprobar su pecado porque ella ya estaba enfrentando la consecuencia de sus actos pero si la perdono diciéndole "vete y no peques más", allí tenemos la clave, dejamos el pecado y nos apartamos de él.
Por lo cual estoy seguro de que ni la muerte, ni la vida, ni ángeles, ni principados, ni potestades, ni lo presente, ni lo por venir,
Romanos 8:38
Absolutamente nada ni nadie puede separarnos del amor de Dios que es en Cristo Jesús. Dios expresa su amor también a través de la promesa de consolarnos en medio del sufrimiento, aún cuando ese sufrimiento es consecuencia de nuestras propias acciones de manera intencional. La vergüenza no debe ser un obstáculo que nos aparte de los brazos de Dios, entendiendo que el repudia el pecado pero nosotros como pecadores nos abraza y nos consuela, debemos correr a sus brazos.
Bendito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, Padre de misericordias y Dios de toda consolación
