Alright, so today I decided to submit one last claim for my lost HIVE coins out of the blue. I figured maybe enough time has gone by since my last attempts that the support staff may have changed the guard. lol Years ago I tried to deposit 2639.515 HIVE to my Binance account, however, I botched the memo, and for some reason, Binance kept rejecting my claim applications for my HIVE.
Try Try Again!
I'm the kind of person who never likes to admit defeat and let things go, so today I tried again one more time to get my HIVE funds back. Hopefully, Binance will simply return the funds to the sender, (me) @honusurf, that would make the most sense and conclude this two-year-long memo botching debacle nightmare once and for all. Fingers crossed...the message I'm receiving today looks promising, maybe this was a good idea to try... try again!!

I finally did receive my HIVE this year within a few weeks of making this post, it seems like Binance revamped the incorrect memo coin retrieval system to work. Thanks, Binance! Ticket Closed!

Yeah I don't understand what the complications were when I initially tried to get the coins back. All I did was accidentally input one extra number at the end of the memo.
It looks like they are going to send them back to me finally. If the notification in the screenshot is correct, I should be receiving them as early as tomorrow, or the next day not sure (3 days)?
The only thing is, I was under the impression that hive transfers from binance were down right now anyway, so I don't know if the refund will be on time if it really is going to happen. It will be a nice surprise when the coins finally arrive.

Yeah still waiting. I checked the status and it looks like the estimated date of completion is now the 22nd! I have a good feeling that this will conclude positively soon since it appears there was a manual review and it's still processing. Only time will tell.

Yeah, it feels bad when you become helpless to a centralized exchange. Crypto was supposed to be safer than banks, however, the circus all these centralized entities turned crypto into is a disgrace, and goes against the grain of Satoshi's original vision.
We need a safe bank protocol for on and offloading crypto. 😞
