REVIEW OF PREVIOUS POB STREET by @insight.pob TOPICS written by @iyiade
The designation of "quality" is dependent upon the reviewer and their success. Take for instance the following topics and examples:
I've just listed a VERY small example of what I feel is quality content. Take splinterlands, for example, each story they produce has CEA: content (professionally written), engagement within their community and beyond, and activity. It seems like including these components in each of their content drives their platform forward.
Hey, @mineopoly and @samsmith1971, have you read some of splinterland's work? You know, the stories behind some of it's characters? I just found out about it and it's difficult to pull away from it to do other things. It draws me in almost as strongly as the stories in the gnostic gospels.
Anyway, enough about SPL? Back to quality. Creating it depends on your interest and natural fondness of the material, I think. Take your time. Make your posts based upon topics of your interest and see how things go. Tailor your work as you see fit to adjust to the needs of the community you're addressing. And watch your support grow.
Creating a quality content is the hardest thing to do in this community.
This is why I enjoy the engagement in proof of brain than every other tribe in hive blockchain.
It's not based on finance or science alone but it's a proof of mind community.
So to create a quality content just write the content in what is in your mind
Yes you are free to post anything in full for brain but you might not also get curated easily on proof of brain if you just post any content except you are known in this community and this apply to every Other tribe
Yeah you can't get created easily if you are not known and the reason why is because content are too much to read it is only known people who have created quality content before that creators will trust and try to read but to read unknown person in the community is very hard for them because they are too much they can't be reading it one by one its so stressful but the one they manage to read they will curate it well
I really like financial content and I prefer financial content than other content do I do not ignored other content.
what I can see as a quality content might not be quality to other person I might prefer finance but some might not be so interested in finance like me
True
But everyone is interested in proofofbrain so then post something about this community that will help this community is a better decision to create content since everyone is interested in the community thier in
Am so interested in sport so I love any content that have anything to do with sport.
Every one has his choice of curation.
It's just unfortunate that sport content is low in this community.
I have it in mind to promote sport to the community
I feel getting the audience's consistent attention is more difficult. It's what I see in different platforms, but I don't have hard data to prove it. It's more like a guess from what I've seen.
The problem is not to create the content but the problem is that how will I create a content that will attract curators here.
Most topics are not well curated.
Yeah, no doubt. I think it was @topbooster that recently did an analysis of my voting. All my voting on this account is manual. You're looking at hours of manually reading, voting, and monitoring daily. In his analysis, I voted almost 800 times during the period of his analysis, downvoted about 34, and unvoted once.
@onealfa, correct me if I'm wrong, also cannot get to every article on the multiple platforms where he curates. It's just not possible man. Now, a lot more people are starting to tag me on their posts. I'll tell you right now that doesn't help get my curation. I can't change how I curate right now because it is the best way I know to check for quality and fraud.
I don't know, but I DO know what I have done that IS working for me.
I started voting for posts that enlightened me in the stem community. My career is stem based and will remain so until my retirement. It was an easy area I found I could participate comfortably. I wrote to the authors on questions I had or complimented them on the content they created. I went outside my comfort zone into other areas on Hive and did the same thing.
I think what that did was to get people to remember me. It was fun. I started loving the engagement. I have more followers now and I receive better curation. If I continue at this pace, eventually I will make something tangible from this endeavor. Other than just creating more content more frequently, I feel like this is the only path forward for me.
Nailed it! I also curate manually. And I do feel like I am not getting to everyone that I would like to get to each week and it can be frustrating but that is what comes from manual curation. It is a labour of love. I am trying to refine my own curation process. I know I can get to quite a few of my favourite authors by curating WOTW, The Inkwell, and Creativecoin (although this latter tag is used rather loosely these days lol) and get to some newcomers this way too. I curate for Dreemport too which gives me exposure to a different set of people. Then I also read some Wednesday Walk (great personal perspectives and insights into local culture, religion, food and regions), Ladies of Hive (contests and articles of interest to women (and men!), Splintertalk (I'll definitely look for more of Splinterlands content on the characters though now that you mention it - I have read one or two of their articles and they are well written) and have a shortlist of faves that I always check in on as I love their work. Some authors that I really enjoy I can only get around to every 2 weeks but if I find I have missed something really good, I will engage anyway and if they respond, I will upvote their comment instead ;-) I have found some authors along the way where I have managed to upvote them indirectly in the comments through engagement even though their articles are sometimes months or even years old. I have my own monthly contest to support new Hivers and pick up a couple of new people to follow there too. So if a newbie enters my contest I will check them out! If I enter a contest I will also curate some or all of the other entries to that contest (depending on volume) in an attempt to diversify my reading and author base and spread the author rewards more evenly. I also use the !PIZZA and !LUV tags to give additional tips to posts I particularly like (see what I did there lol). Hopefully, this comment also helps others to see that there is no single magic recipe and I found that the key to enjoyment on Hive, be it as an author or curator, is engagement, meaningful engagement. If you truly love what you are doing and are genuinely engaged in conversation about things that pique your interest or ignite one of your passions then the conversation will flow, connections will be made and relationships will grow over time. If you are new, I would enter contests, and start off posting in laid back communities like Wednesday Walk, Alive Tribe, Thoughtful Daily Post. I can have a look later and pull out a list of contests that will help to promote engagement with others in the community.

@scholaris.pob, you've been given LUV from @samsmith1971.
Check the LUV in your H-E wallet. (1/1)
Exactly sir, these things take time. One just have to patient, continue to improve on ourselves and find out what works for us.
ALOT of patience, but also respect. Some conversations I've read in discord channels showed that the best path forward was to be professional and respectful. You don't have to prostrate yourself to someone, just treat them like you would expect to be treated. There's still ALOT that I don't know about Hive. I have to remember that I don't always have the right answer or perspective on things.
I agree, most people came to hive and acts like someone owns them votes or anything.
I think the best thing is to just ignore such people.
Hive has provided a lot of opportunity for everyone, is now left for us to make best use of it.
The reason why they are not created is not because curators purposely neglected but there are so many content in this community and many people tag proof of brain because it allow every type of content so every poster post to prove or brain.
So there are two month contents to curate
I see a lot of comments like this one. Not to be rude, but it's a very subjective comment. What is "well curated" for your position? I would like to define that particular phrase for the community. I know people will have different values, but I think it's important to address.
@scholaris.pob
This is not about my position but facts
Being not well curated is not a crime for curatorsand am not criticizing anyone.
This is to the content creator for them to be week curated.
A content must be quality to some extent before it gets well curated so instead of just posting or creating many content and not get good curation due to the low content quality, instead take your time and design just a quality content and get well curated. That's better
Your words are true and I thank you for the engagement.
Thanks for understanding me
This game splinter land,I downloaded the app and played the game but I don't understand how to play it till now and I need a guide on how to play the game
It's a really very interesting game and I also play the game but when I reach one left I couldn't go on because I don't know how to go further and I want someone to teach me I'm just losing to the opponent
I'm trying to learn myself. I never knew there was an app though. I just started looking at things online.
I'm checking Splinterlands now.
The article I first stumbled upon was here: Chaos Legion - The Voice
So hard to find good reads.
This is

I'm liking these a lot @scholaris,
On another note... Do you have any idea why my comments are being dowvoted out of POBstreet? Did someone just push the wrong button... or did I push someone's buttons the wrong way by expressing my opinion freely.
Continual downvotes will not encourage creative or original content from me.
I took a quick browse at your work. Here is an abbreviated assessment:
Articles
DV received on
I am assuming that the reason you received these downvotes was as a result of a disagreement on rewards. I see no fraudulent activity in your content. Your writing habits are consistent in each article.
Comments
I have reviewed your comments over the last 7 days.
Have I addressed your concerns on the matter? Now, I can't explain why someone UN-voted your comment or article. So, unfortunately, if you want to know you'll have to ask.
Thank you. This is helpful from an outside point of view. On the sixth day towards the end of the post I see this. He explained once before his view about reward distribution. I understand.
Am I downvoting you? Let me check on another frontend. I have no reason to do DV you. I'll get back to you on it. Can you please share some links applicable to your situation?
Strange. It only appears on eccency. I will look at it later. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I've checked your articles since July 1, 2021. I'm looking through your comments now on Peak D and Ecency. For Ecency, those comments you specified don't show up as a DV. It shows up as an UN-vote. This indicates that a vote was removed. If it was a downvote, then the value would be negative and not zero percent. I'll summarize the activity on your account shortly.

Follow your passion and what you like the most. Keep inventing and working in your skills. Keep yourself updated and try to improve your content everyday. Engage with your readers and try to find their thoughts about your work. Always welcome positive feedback and positive criticism as well. Also don't just stick to a particular niche, keep up with learning and trying new experiences.
Best way to do it so to participate in Contests. Explore other Hive Communities and Various Contents.
Most important be active and consist with you work. Participate and involve into work of others authors, appreciate their content, learn from them. Be patient and let your content and personality connect to wider audience on Hive Community. Build Friendships, Take Guidance of Top Authors and Mentors and You will good to go. Hard Work and Perseverance. 😊👍. !PIZZA
This is the key to success in content creation. We should be ourself and not to create content that's not from yourself just because of curation.
Some people will go and check the most curated content and post something similar to it. You can't improve in your content creation that way
You are right but you should also be creative in every aspect and be able to create content in every aspect that's why reading and thinking is important.
people that do create content about politics and don't know anything about sport can't be compared to people who knows more about both the way they will create content will be different from each other
Indeed. Always be Yourself and honest with your work. Try to enjoy your content writing and time you spend on Hive Blockchain because afterall it's a lifelong relationship. 😊👍
Yeah, that's a great point. When I joined POB, I decided to take the dive into Calumam's Word of the Week Contest. It changed my position in this community. I had no idea that would happen. Building your audience by participating in contests are definitely a good way to go.
I believe everyone as the ability to create quality content ,it only depends on the time we can us to compute this post together, some people make mistake of wanting to write post all the time because they want to get an upvote everyday but they never know that a single post can give more reward than four post combine, there are many topic to write about in proofofbrain community,if you want to talk about politics, build your content about politics not jumping From all side ,it easy make the readers know what they are reading
Is not about who write most but who write good content in the community
Respectfully, I do not agree. I curate a lot. I also miss a lot. Now and again, I'll see a wonderful article (to me anyway) that was beyond the 7-day mark that I missed. I would have loved to give high votes to those and am sad they got little rewards. It happens.
It's also about exposure too. The people with the most followers, in my opinion, might not produce the best content. These guys are the ones with the most TRUSTED content. If you trust the content someone produces, you might be more likely to give higher votes for them. You might even ignore other articles to pursue the work of author that you're most familiar with.
This is true for everyone who curates.
Personally in the case that I think a post I wrote needs more exposure I will promote that post @null. A few months ago I wouldn't consider self promotion but here it helps everyone if when I really work at something that I can make it known to curators.
@ajanaku, mineopoly has a great point and it's something I don't normally discuss. I will always save a portion of my liquid for post promotions on Ecency, PeakD, Hive, and POB or whatever tribe account I use. I can tell you from my perspective that use of the promotion feature works.
When I said is not about who write most ,I did not mean if you write more post you won't be upvoted but I mean when you are writing post make it meaningful post ,don't just write because you are going to be upvoted
It's only few people that can create a content with no motive of getting curated even I do create contains mostly for the hope of being curated.
That is why I hardly post but instead of posting many content that are not quality I will rather take my time and create a meaningful content and make it quality
Thank you for clearing up my confusion. You and mineopoly are certainly correct in this regard.
I just love the way you always interact with us ,you are true leader
Creating a quality content in this community is all about thinking.
Plaglarism Is a sin here so if you cannot see me then this community is not for you.
Then you should feel free to post anything you are interested into the community if you're interested in sports you can post about sport and you will see people like you are also interested in it
Yeah you are right if you try to copy or you are trying to push what you are not interested in your content cannot be quality.
Don't try to please anybody in this community make this community a fun for yourself and you will enjoy it
Posting what you are not really interested in won't help in content creation for a start but try to be unique and be a utility person.
At the ability to be able to create content of every ideas in every aspect if you want to rule this proof of brain community.
Ability to be able to create content about finance about education about science and we will catch attention of everyone's interest
Thanks GOD is Friday, been Friday is an opportunity for me to use this days wisely.because friday is day which more blessing is been share for those that appreciate it.so with that I greet you all with the greeting that supercede all the greeting in this great world and hereafter which is Assalamu alikum warahamatulahi ta Allah wa barakatuhu meaning may the blessing of the almighty Allah be with us all ameen.
