So What is a soul? Is it something which drives us when we feel low? Is it something which we can't control? Is it something which we don't even know that we have?
There a lot of theories about the existence of a man's soul. But all theories are useless and most of them ends with a questionairre. No one knows exactly what a soul is or even if we have a soul or not?
To solve all of this mess and for showing some light into this matter, I want to explain this whole things with an example. Here it goes.
Once a grandchild came to his grandpa and asked, “What is soul?”
Grandpa smiled a little but and told him a story which he heard from his own father.
"It is said that there are three ‘I’ in a human, which support, guides and drives him through his whole life.
The first ‘I’ – is the coldest. It is seen by every individual surrounding by.
The second ‘I’- is the warmest. It can only be seen by the people closest to you and the people you love and care about.
The first and the second always fight for the power and control over the man, and their quarrel creates doubts and fear among us.
And only the third ‘I’ can make a compromise between the first two and reconcile them. It is visible to no one except ourselves. Sometimes we are unaware of its existence, but it is always with us.”
“I never heard about it, What is that third 'I' ?” the grandchild said.
Grandpa smiled politely and answered, “ The first ‘I’- is Mind. If it takes over the second one, the person becomes calculative and cold. The second ‘I’- is Heart. If it wins, we become irrational and naive and would see things with only one perspective. Then it is easy to hurt and deceive us. The third one – is the Soul. Only it can restore the balance in us.”
Indeed, soul is 'something' which can connect us with ourselves, which corrects us when we have made some grave mistakes, which makes us understand and see the goodness in ourselves, which can really help us to do only the right thing.
Soul exists for sure, but it needs a purity of mind and heart to see it and to use it.
