I have never actually tried to grow it yet. I have so many plans for planting different crops but I seem to never find space in my garden. I need to make space! Do the eggplants grow easily? I have a love-hate relationship with plants that need extra care.

I get it! I also don't like to grow too many plants that a very needy.
Eggplants are easy to grow, I found it very similar to peppers. They need good soil, or some added nutritions like compost or animal manure. They also need enough water to develop the fruit and that's a bit tricky for me as we usually have draught seasons during their time. But other than that no special care needed. When they have good environment it will grow very fast and become a big plant and because the fruits are heavy and they need some kind of support.

It sounds relatively easy. We have droughts as well. I lost various berry bushes and tomatoes and other plants that need some water. That's why I stick to the hardy plants that require no love. The gooseberries, funny enough, survive the droughts and produce fruits. But their root system is incredible.

Gooseberries? I never heard of it! I will check it out as I have quite a problem with the lack of water. How does it taste like?

By the way, I went to search the stores today and unfortunately there are no eggplants anymore. I'm definitely listing this for the next time they are available!

Same here! Till we find eggplants!

Gooseberries are awesome but super weird. They taste something like pineapple crossed with a savory tomato. It is very hard to describe the taste. Do you have them in your store maybe?

Now that I've checked out the translation I remember I've heard of them, but I never tried it yet. I never saw them in the store.
I have a plan to plant a few fruit trees and I will look for them. Thanks on the info! More I read about it more I like 😃 I found out that most fruit trees are not really easy to grow. Especially I like to avoid those that needs to get sprayed with a bunch of chemicals.

Yes, spraying them with chemicals defies the point of growing them yourself right! Then you could have bought them from the store. The gooseberries at least in my area grow so well. It has become a weed in my garden. So find berries and fruits that grow well there! I think that is the general rule of thumb, at least for me as a lazy gardener.
