Rain Is A Blessing.. Recognition Day

in #rain10 months ago

After more than 10 days of very light to no rain, which forced many farmers to use their water pumps, finally a heavy rain came. It looks like this rain will continue for many days to come, based on the latest weather forecast for the country. As a farmer, this is something we are all praying for. Rains lessen the expense of using a water pump to flood the rice field. Plus, rain gives fertilizer to the field, which is why farmers use less fertilizer during this season. Without rain, planting rice is not profitable because of the high cost of diesel used for water pumps and the high demand of rice plants for water.

Later this day, me and my wife attended a school program. A Recognition Day in which the school gives awards to the best student in every grade in elementary school. I'm honored to walk up the stage to accept the medals and certificates for my daughter and niece. As a reward for their school's achievements, we went to their favorite fast-food diner to eat.

Congrats to both of you, and one day we can go back to this blog and reminisce about all the memories that come from this.
