Still Holding On

in #ramblewrite4 years ago (edited)

I don't have a whole lot to write about today, but I hate to skip my routine, so here's an update of incompleteness.

The family is still dealing with various peoples' issues with health, alcohol, and relationships. I am stressed out and tired. Continued poor sleep is compounding my chronic pain issues.

My Indomitus Necrons are primed now. The box set includes enough models for two Patrol detachments, and is able to start a Crusade campaign right out of the box with options for addressing different armies. I hope to go over this stuff soon, but it's not really ready yet.

I also have a week off from work starting now! I may get to go camping, biking, and hiking with people if the family chaos winds down enough. This will also hopefully allow me to paint more models.

I am about set to experiment more with the Raspberry Pi, and I have some new brakes on the way for my bike, so some DIY posts may be forthcoming. Time will tell.

And you never know what will inspire another disjointed political rant.

I hope all is well with those of you who actually read this. Don't forget to comment below to say hi! I could really use some words of encouragement, too. I'll sign off by sharing a song that is stuck in my mind.

Raise a glass for ignorance, drink a toast to fear.
The beginning of the end has come, that's why we all are here.
Strike up the band to play a song and try hard not to cry,
And fake a smile as we all say goodbye.

Take it easy, man. I have been having trouble sleeping lately too. It will certainly do a number on you. I hope to go to sleep early tonight. I wish the same for you too. Enjoy your week off work!

Well, I am at a friend's place for game night. We played Uno and a new board game I bought called Quantik. I need to review it soon.

I highly recommend going away for a few days. Your family will cope with whatever happens while you are gone. You need to take a break and escape the insanity.
