Broccoli Cheese Soup

Ingredients

half cup butter
one onion, chopped
one (16 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli
four (14.5 ounce) cans chicken broth
one (1 pound) loaf processed cheese food
two cups milk
one tablespoon garlic powder
two thirds cup cornstarch1 cup water

Instructions:

In a stockpot, dissolve butter over medium fire. Cook onion in butter till softened. Mix in broccoli, and cover with chicken broth. Simmer till broccoli is tender, ten to fifteen minutes.

Reduce fire, and mix in cheese cubes till melted. Mix in milk and garlic powder.

In a small bowl, stir cornstarch into water till dissolved. Stir into soup; cook, mixing frequently, till thick.
