Addictions, Co-Dependency, Mother/Father Wounds: When A Relationship Is Too Much

We are tied to our bloodlines in many, many ways. Not only in dna patterns but spiritual patterns as well. In the Western world there is a strong belief that the independent spirit triumphs over all obstacles through the force of will and action. For a small minority this seems to be the case but for the majority people find more often than not the energetic pattern of family dynamics plays out over and over in one's life in one way or another throughout a lifetime. Even in the concept of karma—which again in the West has taken on a meaning quite different than what it means in many indigenous cultures from which the concept sprang. In these cultures the term simply means cause and effect not good/bad/evil/punishment. You can hear the concept of karma discussed everywhere now but in "enlightenment" circles the terms is often use in a punitive sense especially if you don't like the person something unfortunate happens to. Or if someone's life is going well then it is assumed that that person's efforts are bearing fruit—they have "good karma."
What is not as widely understood is that energetic patterns, gifts and curses do cross over into the lives of descendants. I've seen this in my own life and everyone around me.
No sadder expression of this, to me, is in the carryover of addictive patterns whether it is chemical addictions to substances, sex, money, gambling, etc. The pattern of addiction is strongly connected to the energetic body's second chakra—the Svadhisthana (which means sweetness) more commonly known as the sacral chakra which is located about two inches below the navel for wombn and a little lower for men in the same general area. This chakra is connected energetically to our sexual organs and what is known as the desire body. This is also where our inner child consciousness resides. The inner child is the pleasure/pain center of consciousness and part of our subconscious mind.
For the purpose of this blog I won't go into all of the energetic pathways involved in addiction. What I want to focus on is simply the understanding that thought-forms come from strong emotion and mental focus in this case unconsciously. Energy doesn't die and these thought forms can bind together (like attracts like) to form a consciousness of their own with its own directive. These forms can bind to the energetic pathways of the desire body and direct someone very unconsciously to repeat the same patterns over and over to feed itself. You see where this is going?
There is another very strong patterning system in an ancestral lineage that are carried over. That is the binding effect of sorcery. The fact is many of our ancestors where either sorcerers themselves or paid someone to do the deed for them. I can't tell you how many people over the years have come to me to ask for my help in saving their relationship through some type of love spell or binding spell or wanting to actually destroy someone's life out of revenge for "taking their husband or wife" or whatever. I chose not to follow that path for my own reasons but know that it is real and it does exist. It's really not wise to think that you on a conscious level control everything around you including other people because you don't.
Magick is a real art and force in the Universe and people do spells usually for power over another or to control circumstances. You actually start messing with the fabric of life when you do magick. In the right hands it can be very healing but for the most part I've seen the practices really harm people who don't have a clue why they are attracted to a particular person or situation. Its like they don't feel they have a choice in the matter. Maybe their great-great-great-great grandparent was doing rituals for marriage or money and called on the elemental forces and consciousness to bring it forward into being. When they passed on the forces stayed if they had not been dismissed properly and now you have an entity attached to your sacral chakra dragging you around emotionally so it can get fed.
This is just one example there are many. Maybe this same distant ancestor was the recipient of someone else's anger who manipulated energies to bring harm. Or, they had sex with someone who had these attachments in their body from their lineage and passed them on. Yes, that too. Also when you get married you marry whatever lineage contracts are active in your partner's life. Contracts, covenants and agreements are binding on the psychic level because they involve focused and agreed upon intent.
These entities exist off of pain and sexual energy especially and will be around until someone gets rid of them. They are not immortal or eternal. Their energy can be dissipated through higher vibrational love and intent, mantras, prayer, clearing baths, energetic cord cutting, spiritual initiation. shamanic journeying, etc. All of these things work over time. The key seems to be to at least be willing to entertain the possibility—without fear—that you are more than a physical being and you are connected in more ways than one to those who came before you and their decisions, relationship choices and the actions of those around them.

Your insight is always refreshing. I know that we are all dealing with some aspect of addiction and ancestral curses. People need to understand the depth of energy and the forms it can take. Thank you for bringing awareness. Hopefully we can remedy it in our own lives before it festers to the point of harm.
thanks iris; yes dealing with harmful ancestral energy is very important but so many seem to dismiss it. I am hopeful that upcoming generations will take this more seriously and reduce the harm unattended toxic energies cause...
I do not know if spells can work for everyone, however, I cannot agree more on the inheritance of the energies(good and bad) of your ancestors.
they work mainly in this way because people don't know about them; the moment it comes to light the spells are easily removed...

Hi @awakened-oracle, I’ve migrated here after seeing your intro on Girl Powa discord and thought we had a lot in common. I cannot wait to delve more into your content because I am so moved.
Just a quick background on me: I became Christian at 14 years old, and here 14 years later I wouldn’t say I ascribe to a faith. But one thing that has always resonated with me was the idea of “generational curses” that I learned in church. You’ve basically unpacked the same concept here, and it’s a powerful one.
Being adopted, I’m always trying to decipher what parts of me are from my nature v nurture. I have the fortune of knowing my biological mom and siblings (though distantly) because we were all raised separately. But from what I know of them, there are so strange overlaps and we are similar in so many ways.
Here’s a picture of the clan. We all got together for the first time just this past September and connected and shared stories. Very healing for all of us.
We really are all more similar than we could have ever imagined, and I’ll be following you and reading your work to get an idea of WHY!
One big shock was finding that 3/6 girls are gay and more masculine leaning.... you’ve really got me thinking!

I loved that you pointed out how many people are participating in magick without understanding what they are getting into. I am in a few "witchy" groups on FB and it is full of, this is from my humble observation, "desperate" women who want Love spells to make a guy fall for them, or money spells. While I am not against doing spells,I have conjured some myself, I just noticed a LOT of them have no idea what they are tapping into and the constraints that come with this type of work. I strongly believe that one should have a stable mindset and practice under practioner to properly learn or atleast gain deeper insight as to what they are opening their energetic field to.
I agree @tyebrooks, not to mention the confusion and lack of respect for the ancestral lines out of which many of these practices come from and/or appropriated from with no balance in the give and take;
