In those cases where God leads us to wait, we simply must be confident that waiting is for our good.
Therefore, brothers, be patient until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently until he receives the early and late rain. 8 Be patient, too, and establish your hearts; because the coming of the Lord is near. 9 Brethren, do not complain against each other, lest you be condemned; behold, the judge stands before the door. 10 My brothers, take as an example of affliction and patience the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. 11 Behold, we count those who suffer blessed. You have heard of the patience of Job, and you have seen the end of the Lord, that the Lord is very merciful and compassionate.
James 5:7-11
Throughout the entire Bible we find different examples of perseverance, in this case the apostle James exemplifies us using a very simple metaphor, one that anyone can understand, about the early rain and the latter rain.
Let's remember that in that region they took into account that on some occasions there was a shortage of water so farmers had to take this factor into account to plan their crops, it was their reality. Farmers wait patiently for the rains that soften the soil and bring the crop to maximum quality, after which comes the harvest. During all this time, even when the farmer has done everything he had to do, he waits confidently that the expected rain will come for the good harvest, the same way it happens in our lives.
The apostle James urges us to remain strong in waiting and reminds us of the case of Job who, after having endured everything, endured waiting for God and received God's blessing. All of this urges us to take the example of perseverance and wait on God.
9 Let us not get tired of doing good, because in due time we will reap if we do not give up.

En esos casos en que Dios nos lleva a esperar, simplemente debemos estar confiados que la espera es para nuestro bien.
Por tanto, hermanos, tened paciencia hasta la venida del Señor. Mirad cómo el labrador espera el precioso fruto de la tierra, aguardando con paciencia hasta que reciba la lluvia temprana y la tardía. 8 Tened también vosotros paciencia, y afirmad vuestros corazones; porque la venida del Señor se acerca. 9 Hermanos, no os quejéis unos contra otros, para que no seáis condenados; he aquí, el juez está delante de la puerta. 10 Hermanos míos, tomad como ejemplo de aflicción y de paciencia a los profetas que hablaron en nombre del Señor. 11 He aquí, tenemos por bienaventurados a los que sufren. Habéis oído de la paciencia de Job, y habéis visto el fin del Señor, que el Señor es muy misericordioso y compasivo.
Santiago 5:7-11
A lo largo de toda la biblia encontramos diferentes ejemplos de perseverancia, en este caso el apóstol Santiago nos ejemplifica utilizando una metáfora muy sencilla, una que cualquier persona puede entender, acerca de la lluvia temprana y la lluvia tardía.
Recordemos que en esa región tenían en cuanta que en algunas ocasiones había escasez de agua por lo que los agricultores debían tener en cuenta este factor para planificar sus cosechas, era su realidad. Los agricultores esperan pacientemente las lluvias que ablandan el suelo y llevan el cultivo a la maxima calidad despues de ello viene la cosecha. Durante todo este tiempo, aún cuando el agricultor ha hecho todo lo que debía hacer, espera confiado en que vendrá la lluvia esperada para la buena cosecha, de esa misma forma sucede en nuestras vidas.
El apóstol Santiago nos insta a que permanezcamos fuertes en la espera y nos trae a memoria el caso de Job quien despues de haber soportado todo, soportó esperando en Dios y recibió la bendición de Dios. Todo esto nos insta a que tomemos el ejemplo de perseverancia y esperemos en Dios.
9 No nos cansemos de hacer el bien, porque a su debido tiempo cosecharemos si no nos damos por vencidos.
