Many years ago, I owned a Commodore 64 (also the later 128 Version).
In fact: I worked for a Company that repaired them, as a Computer Engineer.

The Commodore 64 was the computer that started me on my path to becoming a software engineer. My neighbor had one in 1985 and I got one a year or so later (which by then was the 64C...but it was only cosmetically different). I had another neighbor who lived further down the road who had a 128. We had a blast playing games of course but later on i would learn to program on in (in BASIC anyway) and use it for some school work. I still have it here in a closet somewhere and it still works as far as I know...though it's been a while since it has been turned on. I had to replace the power supply at some point but other than that it never gave me any trouble.
We have come a very long way since loading games from a basic Cassette Tape Recorder !LOL
