RE: Approximately how much more does a Pound of Feathers weigh than a Pound of Gold?

in #riddle7 years ago

1 Pound is worth about $1.28 which will buy you about 1.23 oz of the pictured down feathers. That same $1.28 will buy you .001 oz of Gold.

The correct (expected) answer is that a pound of feathers weighs about 1000x more than a pound of gold.

And this is why we need smart contracts, because if I offered to sell you a pound of gold for $100 it could result in a dispute if we didn't agree on the precise meaning of every word. Furthermore, it would cost you more to take me to court to dispute the meaning / intent than to just take your losses.

Sort:

Which is why that is properly called a pound's worth of feathers as opposed to a pound of feathers. Can't have you abusing the English language just to make a point 8-P.

Tell that to lawyers and congress :)

I thought you meant weight by pound :p
