As I'm back for a third time these past two days, I remind you that I've written three posts dedicated to Rising Star. You can read them if you like this format. It's been an honor to participate in the community by contributing stories for the game's cards. Today I wanted to do a third, and I'm dedicating it to Boki. The story is titled: If You Fall, You Get Up.

Tale

Effort is very important to achieve any goal you set for yourself. It's very difficult to achieve something if you don't put in the effort and truly fight for it. When something is so important to you, you put everything aside and focus body and soul on achieving it. Boki has spent years training and practicing to achieve one of his dreams: to be a renowned dancer in one of the best theaters in Spain. He's a flamenco dancer, and he's very good at what he does. He's trained and practiced so much that he's given up many things in life just to achieve this goal.

He comes from a long family and heritage of flamenco dancers. All with distinguished careers. Most have been stars. Boki is no exception. He feels he must continue the family legacy. But beyond that, he personally has the desire to be someone prominent in his art. So, he has two strong motivations, and that can sometimes create a lot of pressure, but above all, he gives him the strength to keep going despite almost anything.

The opportunity he's been waiting for is approaching. Many good dancers and academies have noticed him. They've noticed that he's very talented and could possibly become a star, like many of his former relatives. It turns out that auditions are taking place in two months for a talent show. The winner will receive a contract at one of Spain's best dance theaters. Being part of the dance team would allow him to interact with the best dancers of the moment, as well as have star mentors. In other words, it's any dancer's golden dream.

Well, he's been invited to the auditions because he's been noticed. The show itself sent him the invitation without him asking for it. That's because they know he'd be a valuable and interesting addition to the program. He has undeniable talent and will attract attention, and that's exactly what the program wants. People with flamenco talent to make the competition fierce and increase the audience.

Boki sees the opportunity as a gift from heaven. Well, after so much training, it's time to show her worth. Well, she finally signs up and begins to prepare. She spends all day practicing and improving her technique. Her mentor is her aunt, who also worked at that theater and is now retired. But that doesn't mean she's lost her skills.

The two of them spend exactly one month in intensive training. They want to win the prize at all costs. But sometimes you have to be careful not to overexert yourself. You always have to be balanced. The result was that Boki ended up injuring his leg. He tore a muscle. They didn't want to see him; he cried more from the accident than from the pain itself. He recognized that he was now in a very bad situation. There was only a month left until the auditions, and now he had this problem. On the day of the accident, the doctor was quick to come to the rescue.

They told him the tear wasn't too serious, but that he needed complete rest if he didn't want the problem to get worse. Boki's world fell apart because the doctor expressly forbade him from training for a whole month, otherwise things would be more difficult and his recovery would be slower. But he gave him hope, telling him that if he followed his instructions, he could participate in the event he'd told him about in a month. But he had to take care of himself.

Those last words from the doctor gave Boki hope, because he thought that perhaps all was not lost. It was just a matter of taking care of himself, even if he couldn't train. The weeks passed, and he spent his days in bed or doing the exercises recommended by the doctor. But some well-intentioned friends, or perhaps not, told him to stop resting and start training if he wanted to win the competition. He was tempted to listen to them, but he knew it could make his situation even worse. So he decided against it. It's better to guarantee participation in the event than to throw everything away for a few workouts and lose all his progress.

When the day of the performance finally arrived, he was very nervous. He had barely practiced, but at least the doctor had given him the all-clear, which shows that he had recovered well because he had followed his instructions. But now he was facing his dream goal, but with little preparation. He just told himself, let fate decide what will happen. When his turn came, he performed well, giving his all and putting his all into it. But unfortunately, he didn't win. Even so, the judges noticed his effort and learned his story. He came in second place, so there was no second-place award. But the judges ultimately determined that he didn't perform at his best due to his disabilities. They said it wasn't fair that he should take second place, instead tying him for first. As fate would have it, he was able to enter the theater he'd dreamed of. Everything happened so suddenly that he still can't believe it. Now it's his turn to build his family's legacy.
