One day chasing the sun - lawns, by the river

It was a beautiful sunny day and I suddenly realized that the persistent rainy days had unintentionally delayed the cycling trips. And I also gradually immersed myself in the hustle and bustle of life again after a long lockdown. Suddenly seeing that the humid weather also unintentionally made me moody. By the way, it's sunny, I decided to call for a friend to make biking around and let the sunlight dry all the troubles in my mind 😁
Although it was a beautiful day, we still had to start and end our journey with 2 heavy spots of rain haha, but they didn't seem to be a problem for us because we always had a raincoat with us.

After running out of the rain, we were greeted by the warm sun rays. Stop by the small pond. This pond only appears when there are continuous torrential rains. You won't see it in the sunny season. My friend often passes by here but this is the first time he has seen this pond. There were also a few buffaloes down to "fairies bath", the scene reminded my childhood. When I was a child, I always looked forward to going home from school and then following my father to fields, running and rolling on the lawns, picking flowers, catching dragonflies, then riding buffalo, jumping into the pond. Talking about it, I miss my father, the old buffalo herder, who I haven't seen in a long time and will never see again. ☹

The bicycle is always my companion, by my side when I am tired in spirit and then it makes me tired physically. 😜 Just kidding. The more tired I get from practicing, the happier I am after that. My body releases a lot of negative energy and integrates new positive energy.

What interests me the most is the sunlight breaking through the water, making the ripples shimmer, plus the blue watercolor from the color of the clouds. Far away is the Marble Mountains.

Chill time is done, we continue to roll the bicycle wheels

We stopped by a boardwalk to the sea next to a resort.

The atmosphere is so pleasant. We can feel the salty smell of sea salt hitting our faces. This path is far from the city center so it is so sparse. That's why I pedaled, my mouth humming singing loudly. All worries seem to disappear, making room for sunshine and joy to flood in.
We wanted to walk the beach for a little, but we had to pedal to get to our final destination in time for sunset.

It's early winter so sunset fell very early. This time around 4:30 pm and the sunset was not as clear as summer, only the yellow light halos of on the floating clouds.

The plan to catch the sunset by the river does not seem to be successful. We stopped by the embankment and went down a small path with the stairs, it was easy to go.

There's a small boat here, so I didn't hesitate to take a few pictures.

This river is called CoCo, connecting Cua Dai river in Hoi An and Han river in Da Nang. When Hoi An was still the busiest trading port in the South part of Vietnam, this river played a very important role in transporting goods from Hoi An to Da Nang and other countries.
Nowadays, Da Nang is planning this riverside area to do construction and tourism projects. To be honest, this is the only point in Da Nang that I don't feel satisfied with. In addition to the good point of creating jobs for people, high-rise buildings, that are built one after another, gradually disrupt the natural landscape.
When I was in high school, I sometimes came here to relax. Green lawns by the river, flower bushes that we don't know the name of but we still pick then giving each other or bring home to put in vases; next to them there are beds of morning glory; and far away is a small hut with few calves. That poetic image is forever imprinted in my mind that I always cherish the plan that this place will be the background of my wedding photos.

One of the buildings under construction is next to the river. And the small man-made ditch is unfinished. I can only hope that everyone in the community around here will always be conscious of protecting the environment. Especially liquid waste in buildings must be treated carefully before being discharged into the river.

This bridge is called Bai Dai however people often call it CoCo bridge after the name of the river.

But this is officially CoCo Bridge.
The bridge has just been inaugurated at the end of October 2021 and is continuing to complete the final stages.
We had to return in time when it was still dry. However, when we got close to home, we were still be caught by heavy rain.
