The annual Christmas run has modified "rules"

in #running3 years ago

Normally the bunny hash is reserved just for our women members in Chiang Mai and visitors from around the world. However, Covid has changed a lot of things in life these days and since we are dealing with a very limited amount of members that are even in the country our Christmas Bunny Hash is open to everyone.

This year we are only asking that everyone wear red and of course the more ridiculous you can dress the better. Silliness is always appreciated in this and basically every other Hash chapter that exists in the world.

As is tradition we would like everyone who is attending to purchase a gift at a max value of 300 Baht for our secret santa gift exchange that will take place after the run. It is highly recommended that you bring at least a change of shirt since we will likely be out there for a while longer than usual since we have both the circle and the gift exchange to get through after the run.

Also, even though this is still Thailand and it is hot people have been known to get a bit cold on these things and we don't want to have to make fun of you for being a little bitch... OK I take that back, we really do want to make fun of you for getting cold in a tropical country so if you would prefer to avoid that maybe bring a jacket of some sort for the afterparty.

As usual this meetup will begin at the McDonalds at Tha Pae Gate in downtown Chiang Mai which is located on the outside of the moat in the north east corner of it. It's a huge building just across the main square of the gate.

This is open to everyone, not just women, and not just Hashers. We welcome newcomers as well as members. No previous Hashing experience is necessary but we have only one rule for this one and that is that no children are allowed unless attending with a parent who is a member. You also need to understand that we get foul mouthed and we are not going to change this because young people are in attendance. If you would rather your children not be exposed to this it is better to probably leave them at home.

The run is expected to be between 5 and 7 km with mostly flat terrain. There is no easy trail but if you decide a certain distance in that it is too difficult / far for you, it is always allowed to turn back to camp.

Total cost of the day is 200 Baht but please remember to bring a gift of some sort - something inappropriate or silly is preferred. It's all in the name of good fun.

For more details including the location of the run if you are a weirdo that wants to drive themselves out to the run site, you can find all of that information on our website here
