I felt I needed a run this morning. I had a long cycle ride on Friday, but I've done had two evenings at pubs and needed to work off that beer. So I did my regular loop. It's wasn't quick, but I kept going. Lots of other runners out today plus a couple on a tandem.
Here's a shot from last night's gig by The Redneck Jammers. They are a local band who came out of our pub sessions. They play great rock and roll.

Not really sure what that's about. It doesn't have to be a competition :)
It's more about community support than anything else. We just had the #steemwars, which were fun but that's over now until someone thinks up a new challenge. The Minnow Support Project is there to support minnows and newbies. TeamGB, Australia etc. are just a subset of that.
I encourage you to check it out cos it's fun and you'll make friends, but obviously it's up to you.

Well done. I love to run, but, today was a snail crawl. But, I got up and did it, so I'll take the points. I think it is nice to shake it up a little mixing running and biking in the week. It really does work such different muscles, doesn't it?

I was pretty slow really. I hope to build the strength to get a bit faster, but I don't expect to be winning many races.
Oh, I am still very slow in comparison, but, I am only working on my personal best at the moment. So, I still say good run (I broke my distal fibula this winter and just getting back to running)

I have spent money on good shoes and taken advice when I bought them. So far I've had no issues with my feet
I have heard that Asics are the best which do you have?
My current shoes are Asics, but I've had Mizuno before. I can't say I notice much difference.
That is awesome and I will say that after running for a few years, I started going to "The Running Store" which specializes in running shoes. There are so many kinds, but, they have you run on a treadmill and a computer checks your running pattern, pronation and how you land on your feet, then fit you with a shoe that is compatible to your step. Best. Ever. I never have trouble with my feet and although it is a specialty shop, the shoes cost only a bit more for the service. My last were Asics, but, prior to that I had New Balance.
