Weekly Running Update... taking it easyish!

I've had quite a physical week this week, having started circuit training and being active on the allotment, so I opted for three relatively easy runs, I have to be careful at my age, and I think I got the balance about right....

I simply did three five Ks around my usual route, one fastish, one intervals and one slower!

Tuesday - Fastish 5K

Just my standard run around my standard route - here's my heart rate in relation to pace...

I could have knocked a minute off, but that did me!

Thursday - local intervals

I took these fairly easy too but was quite happy with my pace overall.

Apologies for the massive images, on a different machine to usual, not really familiar with the picture editing tools!

This was a very bitty session on account of two trucks rudely forcing me to pause for about 10 seconds half way around!

Sunday - easy 5K

I was planning to do a 10K but Saturday was such a grim day I couldn't get down the allotment, so wanted to do a double day today, with an early start and thought a 10K run would just leave me feeling knackered.

So instead I did an easy 5K, which was the right decision (and then had a great day on the allotment).

Interesting to compare the relative heart rate with the pace to Tuesday's faster run....

This wasn't super easy pace, it was easy-mid!

Next week's plans

Annoyingly I've got a busy week so I'll be happy if I can just rinse and repeat, whether it's worth reporting I'll decide next Monday!

Sort:

Very high heart rate!

Only towards the end! All in safe zones mainly

True, but be careful mate!

That's a really nice average! I'm procrastinating going back to my running routine, been ages since I ran. !BEER

You just gotta get out and crack on!

Absolutely!
