Can you hear when water changes temp? Science says yes. (Video)

If you're like me and everyone else, you've turned on the tap and waited for that moment...
Just the right moment when you 'sense' the water has changed. If you're pouring a glass of water, it's when you think the water is cold enough. If you're waiting on the shower, it's the opposite.

So how is it that we keep from accidentally taking cold showers and drinking warm glasses of water?
Science says we can actually hear the difference. Of course we can! Funny, it's one of those things that passes under the radar. A secret ninja-like skill we've adapted that we think only we know about or posses?

Like when we come back to the microwave after minutes to stop it just before the annoying beep.

But, be kind, do make sure you reset the timer.

Or those moments when we drop something and before we even register it was dropped we react and find we have it miraculously in hand once again.
