what rocks can float on water?
PUMICE
pumuce is an igneous rock, it is found when pieces of magma contain trapped bubbles of gases or steam are thrown out of a volcano. After the magma cools it is honey-combed with hundreds of small holes. These are the remains of the gas and steam bubbles. A piece of pumice is like a piece of bread without the crust. A piece of pumice floats on water because of the air that is trapped in the bubble holes.
