Reliable energy, day and night
The Powerwall 2 system offers backup power during blackouts and natural disasters. Being compact, stackable and with an integrated inverter, Powerwall 2 is ready also to integrate perfectly into solar systems, which enables you to supply your home power on their own.
This battery is the Second product of Tesla is the second generation of its battery home Powerwall , which changes design towards a more rectangular and slender form that can be installed either inside the home or outside, as it is resistant to extreme weather conditions.

The new Powerwall 2 doubles its capacity up to 13.5 kWh, which according to Tesla will be enough to provide power to a House with four bedrooms for 24 hours. The battery will provide continuous feeding of 5 kW with peaks of up to 7 kW, that will be guaranteed for unlimited power cycles for up to 10 years.

The Powerwall 2 will be available to reserve in this year 2017 and will have a price of $ 5,500, deliveries are scheduled for the month of December. With this bet Tesla predicts sell more batteries than cars during 2017, since this product can be installed in any part of the world and offers benefits that are not available anywhere else for the same price.

The Powerwall isn't an alternative for clean and sustainable energy. It is just another type of battery. It may or my not be better than deep cycle batteries currently in use. Time will tell if they last. The only clear advantage it holds is being smaller.
As the last image shows, you still have to power the Powerwall via some sort of energy generating device, like solar panels or wind turbine.
Thanks for reading in effect it has to power with solar panels.
