Automation and AI, a Blessing or a Curse

in #science7 years ago

Hello eveyone and welcome to my new article about these two different technologies that are taking over our society step by step. Yes they are two different techs, many people believe that they are one. So our first explanations are going to be on what are those two and later we are going to see in deeper analysis what they are going to make your lifes look like and if that is a good or a bad thing.

Automation

Automation is a hardware or software that is capable of doing things automatically when the right conditions are met. Let's consider the example of the fire alarm systems that turn on when the smoke sensors is activated water start pouring down from the pipes.

Artificial intelligence

AI on the other hand is the science/engineering of making intelligent machines that are capable of utilizing critical thinking that looks like humans. The term AI is first used by John Mcarthy and by that term he ment the machines that their software can mimic human intelligence and behaviour.

So what will these two technologies going to build up as a future for humanity?

First of all, both technologies are going to be partly be united in some kind of automatons in the future. Automatons are some kind of humanoid robots that are not going to be exactly what you would call intelligent, they will be capable of automatic movement and following orders of humans but they wont be capable of critical thinking or taking observational choices by itself. Automatons are going to be the first generetion of care takers of the future elderly. Totally intelligent software is not going to be a thing of the near future, mostly because we will not be able to control it and definately we do not have the laws and understanding of creating or better giving birth to and intellignet organism yet(AI with full capabilities of critical thinking is an actual organism in my opinion and should actually have rights since it will be as intelligent as humans if not more). Automation and AI in a more dumb combination is going to be the workforce of tomorrow, and humans are going to greatly benefit for it since they will be more productive, never tired, and close to unmistakable. Human fear of unemployment of course is wrongly supported by many if the tech is going to be utilized in the right way.

Fearing of the new

People fear of the new mostly because they do not trust their "leaders". And how possibly could they trust them. Most of the global companies and governments are liars, they push people to extreme with laws that are not backed by logic but only the profit of the few. They attacked the environment in most terrible ways through the ages. Trying today to reverse the climate change is something that they use as success of common work between the global leaders, what ehy don't say is that they fetched the problem to begin with, and they new very much about it. Yet they had to produce a huge problem before they even consider to do something about it. I do not trust companies and governments either so i agree with peoples that are sceptical.

The outcome in average

In average the outcome in the long run is going to be a great thing. Elderly will have great caring, children will be able to learn faster since these techs are very good at helping teaching kids. Money and global economics are going to change since money are going to be useless in a society that is runned by tech. Diseases are going to be cured easier and faster and Space exploration is going to go forword is huge leaps while humanity shall have a new Golden age.

I don't really fear the coming of technology or AI. it's just another part of the development of technology and science. People often resist change which isn't any good. I'd rather embrace it.

Yeah! New and improved jobs may develop from new and exiting technologies. We must move forward
