Trying very hard to find an argument why humans are still worse than animals. I'd be tempted to say we know the difference between good and bad, but so often evil intentions masquerade as good, so it's hard to say.

We don't know the difference between good and bad because even those are subjective. All people inflicting "bad" are merely judged by another point of view. Based on their ways, they are merely defending themselves.
