Nuclear Radioactivity

in #science2 years ago

This actually reminded me of somethin really interestin that I watched on a youtube viddy

This is a lecture by Galen Winsor, who's a prominent chemist in the applied technological fields but also known in formal academia
his lecture here is about him talkin about what he believes to be horrible misinformations about the nature of nuclear material and nuclear radioactivity in general, going SO FAR as to say that nuclear radioactivity and it's effects on humans is nothing like how what most of the current literature says
going even so far as to have shown this in real world examples of himself, such as visiting nuclear reactors and actually swimmin in the coolin tanks
drinkin the water from the coolin tanks, etc etc
I think it's also insanely interesting that he brings up the U.S military's munition standard when it comes to our weapons
the U.S military has a nuclear-related munition standard with a lot of our weapons, such as our rockets and ballistic missiles, a great deal of them are tipped with depleted uranium so as to make the tip much more stronger and much more penetrating on impact
as well as increase the weight of the rocket at the front
