Vaccines are a highly polarising subject - they cut right to the core of so many important topics in life that it is imperative that we all come to understand the details surrounding them thoroughly - yet it seems that the information being put out on the topic always seems to start debates and arguments - why aren't the answers clear? A US Doctor seems to think that things really are clear and he says so on Joe Rogan's recent podcast - yet when challenged by Joe he repeatedly stumbles and contradicts himself without ever acknowledging this reality.. Let's hope that Del Bigtree, who recently put out a lengthy video commentary on this show, gets to appear on Joe's podcast too to see what both sides have to say on this important topic!
Vaccine science is one of the topics that I have put many, many hours into researching - since it is an area that 'should' be straightforward and therefore 'should' be easy to identify those who are correct/accurate and those who are in denial or just misled. I am not a medical academic and I am certainly not a leading expert in vaccines, however, I have repeatedly noticed that the world 'experts' themselves leave a great deal to be desired when it comes to integrity, ability to use logic and completeness/coherence when their statements are held up to examination. I might not have attended medical college - but I did attend university and have a professional background in the use of rigorous logic to solve serious problems. I also hate fraud and love health - so this topic is one that grabs my attention.
Whenever I hear alleged experts name calling and trying to avoid answering questions directly, I see red flags - because when we really KNOW that what we are saying is accurate, without any gaps, assumptions and denials - we can be calm in our responses and methodically move to use logic to explain what might be being misunderstood by others an why we are correct. I see none of that happening in the vast majority of cases where pro vaccine supporters attempt to defend vaccines. It's so sad that online trolls often try to make out that anti-vaccine activists are dumb or just don't understand the science involved, when the industry's top 'experts' are so poor at demonstrating any command of exactly these things. Del Bigtree, while being an investigative reporter and not a medical professional, does demonstrate significant competence in understanding the logic involved and has no problem presenting coherent points that reference specific scientific work - backed up by medical professionals who themselves have become anti-vaccine based not on fear, but on the science they have seen or carried out. He is also extremely passionate and has probably interviewed more parents of autistic children than pretty much anyone else on Earth.
Without giving the details away, I highly recommend watching the following video (play it at double speed in youtube if you need to - it's quite long). You can see, if you pay attention, just how weak the pro vaccine arguments are and also the way that they almost always try to squirm out of being forced to address the key topics. Joe Rogan, to his credit, does ask some pressing questions and is clearly unimpressed by the "Doctor's" responses.
I am also reminded of the 9 hour court deposition by Dr. Stanley Plotkin, inventor of numerous vaccines - during which he was cross examined about numerous issues relating to vaccines and repeatedly came out looking deceptive, shifty and unable to back up his claims (the plotkin video is below, it's 9 parts and very long - I watched all 9 hours!).

Surprised more people haven’t been triggered by this and screaming hateful things at you. There is so much to be desired for the safety and efficacy of vaccines. One argument I found amusing is when asked to compare health outcomes long term for a group of people in a place like America that compares disease rates for something like the flu, I’ve been told that it’s ‘unethical’ to compare health outcomes of the vaccinated group versus the health outcomes of the unvaccinated group. Studies comparing these two groups in anything I’ve looked at seems to be very rare, non existent, a very short study length or a small sample size.
As you say, having done research, there are such poor research and study methodologies involved with so much surrounding vaccines.

Yes, the logic is mind boggling from these 'scientists' - it is a clear example of dishonesty. The Dr. on Joe Rogan's show states that he doesn't want to debate the main voices in the anti vaccine movement because 'it would be like debating tobacco companies about cancer'.. lol.. I think he has that a bit backwards.

Lots of children in my country was vaccinated by the government for Dengue fever that made some fatalities because the vaccine is supposed to work only in people with history of Dengue infection.
For those who were vaccinated and caught Dengue afterwards would die @ura-soul
Oh that is tragic indeed. A similar thing happened in Africa where children and families were vaccinated at gunpoint (in many cases) after people refused because they saw that people died after having the vaccines. It was later proven that the government was injecting the wrong vaccine (and old version that should not have been used at all and especially not in areas with HIV).
Even those who believe in vaccines need to take note that it is unwise to blindly trust those who claim to be delivering health.
Try getting a pro-vaxer to watch videos that long for proof! They are tough going if you want to hear it.

Yes, that's the sad part - these people so often claim to be speaking from a position backed up by science, yet rarely actually put any time into studying the topic in depth.
I guess its much easier to just let someone else do that work for you and tell you what the science is; which is why we've reached this point in the first place. A snake oil salesman was the start of the pharmaceutical empire.

A great deal of the healthScare industry has revolved around power struggles and attempting to discredit opponents, yes. Until people realise that the government agencies are corrupt, they continue trusting them blindly unfortunately. To realise that these departments are corrupt is too stressful for many ostriches - I mean people - as it means that not only do they have to radically rethink their responsibility for self care, but also they have to come to terms with what else is corrupt and how much other evil they have been allowing or even openly supporting.
Of course! You just made an epiphany moment for me here. A friend and I were chatting the other day about the behaviour of people we know and she said that they can't acknowledge their behaviour, because to acknowledge the destructiveness of it would destroy them.
