Hello,
I am a gamer. In the late 1960's, for Christmas, the family would sit and play Yahtzee and other simple group games. Simpler times.
Once computers were invented, (made accessible to the masses) and games started showing up on them, I got one of my first PC's in the late 1980's. This opened a door into many hours of game play at my computer for years to come.
Games: Counter strike, Megatraveler 2, Ever Quest, War Craft, Star Craft, World of War Craft, Star Wars the Old Republic, Star Wars Galaxies, Tribes, Magic the Gathering, Lord of the Rings, Guild Wars, Eve Online, Axie Infinity.
For me Benchmark games are Ever Quest and Star Wars Galaxies. These two were the first to present a very playable experience IMO. To top it off they were all done over a 52k baud modem and phone lines.
Late year 2021 I stumbled upon Axie Infinity. My first crypto game and the beginning of my real crypto adventure. Playing and breeding Axie was my first passion in the game. As time wore on, the direct one on one with no possibility of feedback, made me shy away from playing. Like you can't even say GG to your opponent. Having created many Axie, I decided to start a scholarship program in June 2021. This experience has been a life changer for me and the change is not about money.
As of this writing, I have come across Farsite and have gotten involved in the initial Alpha release offerings. This involvement connected me with Exode, another game.
Besides games I have a few other interests, growing Bonsai and berry trees of various kinds. I have been growing bonsai for 35+ years and have some old trees. I also enjoy some general gardening and digging in the dirt.
The introduction of block chain technology into the gaming environment has taken hold and the market by storm. It is my intention to write about as many of these games as possible but initially will focus on Farsite, Exode and Axie Infinity.
As for Crypto currency knowledge or expertise, I do not consider myself super knowledgeable, but I am fast learner and will share any new / special things that I may learn as time goes buy.
And now it is time to write something interesting.
I hope everyone enjoys the reads.

Welcome to HIVE @sckoarn!
It's always a pleasure to exchange with you!
I have a fond memory of SW:TOR roleplaying, and of the clever writing in Empire quests for instance.
Looks like I missed on Megatraveler 2, and I know I missed on Star Wars Galaxies. But I played all others!
One MMORPG you may like would have been The Secret World ; because it has some serious/clever character dialogue, some real riddles too. However the original version is better than the "Legends" version (because character progression is much better, etc), the original still works but needs a key, and the key costs 70 USD now (ultimate version), so I guess it's a big no, and was not a good use of screen space to talk about it. It was still monumental.
All this was before blockchain time though!
Ah these moments singing on a ship in Everquest...
or wandering in the Befallen... and saying hello to Skeletons...
or walking at night in the Kithicor woods (brrr!! scary!)
or falling off a cliff at Qonos... and be eaten by sharks...
good times!
Something for EVE Online players, I also played Mankind (2001), a strategy persistent MMO. It seems only french people know about it, so here is a video of someone attacking a massive player base with massive forces:
yeah... I know.. old times... :D
well, at least we are not speaking "yet" of Ultima V and Shamino and Shadowlords and stuff! :D
Some great old stuff here! I loved guild wars but my favorite old school MMO was, ironically named now that hive is trying to develop one, called Ragnarok Online. It was the precursor to WoW really. Super fun game! Then there was the great fun we all had playing Counterstrike for sure, maps like de_dust were a favorite but I opted more for things like cs_office and oil rig lol
