Scrobbooking?

in #scrobble • 2 hours ago

Finally "caught up" on my sleep, even though you can't actually catch up on it technically, but had a good rest and got back to checking on my projects since they've been pretty much running on auto-mode ever since. Positively surprised things ran that well even though it's all "slop" coded. ;)

Either way, I have one instance currently going through all the projects while on another one I'm working on an idea I had during my travels thanks to my fiancé who's really into diaries/scrapbooking. The idea is basically to attempt to automatically generate stickers/images or background/font colors based on your text input, as an example, let's say today you washed your dog (which we did since it's been a while), your anthropic tokens as a subscriber would automatically read your input and understand that you're posting about washing your dog and the dog and owner are now happy about the results, etc, pretty much just gather input, tone, relevancy and then using another AI generation tokens focused towards image generations, we'd attempt to automatically create a few cute stickers that are not only relevant to your post, but over time can become costumizeable towards your actual dog (if you've shared them in the past, etc), so we can play around with features such as recreating image generations with references and then your scrobble.life account remembering your chosen results to attempt to generate the same dog in future references.

Point is, write a post, have AI in the background create cute stickers and images that fit with it, I wanna call it scrobbooking. :D

As mentioned however, these things do cost, so it'll start off as a subscriber-only feature as subscribers already receive up to 75% of their value in anthropic tokens which we then may have to customize in user settings how much they wanna spend for text input capture and how much they wanna spend for image generation. There's also options to subscribe for the $5 tier (2nd) if these aren't enough for your daily use and we can always create a 3rd tier if there's demand as it'll be two different tokens, one anthropic for text understanding and one for image generation.

Another idea, of course if the tone is fun (not you talking about how your dog passed (bad example, sorry)), would also be to check decentmemes API for relevant memes/gifs that'd go towards your post, either templates you can write to fill the meme yourself or already created memes which would attempt to also include relevant beneficiaries to the users who submitted the templates or created the memes in the past.

Another thing with this idea is that we wanna give users a lot of room to play around with positioning, opacity, border and background colors and text, etc, so it may not be something that looks good on every front-end due to how post editors work on there, but we'll attempt to make it look okay with what we can mirror over there. This may give people more reasons to check out scrobble.life for simple hive consumption however!

Anyway, don't have a good example to show you now other than grabbing my fiancé's notebooks and taking a pic of her input, but I'm hoping to have a prototype out here soon and show you what it could look like.

In the meantime however, feel free to let me know what you think of the idea and if you think there's some more good stuff I could add to it! Thanks for reading!

Curious, how do you plan to handle copyright issues with generated memes?

we just take down the images if they request to do so, then again memes aren't a big copyright issue as they're labeled as transformative
