600 000 000 EUR rescue mission and a complex algorithm

Costa Concordia was a biggest European passenger ship. It sunk in Medditerean Sea in 2012.

Can you imagine the rescue mission cost 600 000 000 EUR ?

It may sound to you a simple task but it took over two years to design a rescue plan and implement a computer algorithm that helped to pull the ship out of water.

The operation took 19 hours and was a great success.

Amazing isn't it?
