For those who like the sea, like me, taking a nice walk by the sea is something that cannot be renounced. This photo was taken this morning in Acitrezza in Sicily. It is a village historically inhabited by fishermen, famous for its magnificent stacks, eight basalt rocks which, according to legend, are the boulders thrown by the Cyclops Polyphemus against Ulysses in the episode narrated by Homer in the Odyssey. Furthermore, about 400 meters from the coast is the Lachea Island which some have identified with the Island of the Goats, always narrated in the adventures of Ulysses. Acitrezza is also the place where Giovanni Verga set his novel I Malavoglia. Today it is mainly a summer tourist destination full of bars, hotels and restaurants offering typical local fish-based cuisine.

Per coloro a cui piace il mare, come me, fare una bella passeggiata vicino al mare è qualcosa di irrinunciabile. Questa foto è stata scattata questa mattina in Sicilia ad Acitrezza. È un paesino storicamente abitato da pescatori, famoso per i suoi magnifici faraglioni, otto scogli di pietra basaltica che, secondo quanto narra la leggenda, sarebbero i massi scagliati dal ciclope Polifemo contro Ulisse nell'episodio narrato da Omero nell'Odissea. Inoltre a circa 400 metri dalla costa si trova l'Isola Lachea che alcuni hanno identificato con l'Isola delle Capre narrata sempre nelle avventure di Ulisse. Acitrezza è anche il luogo dove Giovanni Verga ambientò il suo romanzo I Malavoglia. Oggi è principalmente una meta turistica estiva ricca di bar, alberghi e ristoranti che propongono cucina tipica locale a base di pesce.
