Blockchain doesn't store the data forever. In a few thousand years some scavenger will stumble into yet another mass of metals and plastics. And that's about it.
All these memories will be melted down into things that don't matter. Humanity used to be smart, chiseling their data into blocks of stone that when preserved would actually last, damn near forever. Now it goes inside the stone that requires a magic spell to open but if there's one crack or a missing piece, one can't even guess what might be there.
