Deal with Negative thoughts

in #self-control3 years ago

Negative thoughts create unwanted trouble. Maybe a thousand we have faced that a sudden negative thought popped up in our mind for no reason. And that's enough to make us feel uncomfortable. It happens automatically, like in between a conversation or in our sleep also.

It becomes disturbing, no? If we can't get a clue why we are thinking negatively? And the big question is whether we should shift our focus on those negative thoughts or if those thoughts deserve any attention.

Our brain is spontaneous. It can think about different things at a time or continuously. We can't control the flow. So, how could we get rid of negative thoughts? Is there any way? Well, actually it's a wholesome process. We will be able to deal with it properly if we can manage to do many other things in our life. I'm gonna give you some hints, what I think can be a little helpful.

If you are facing continuous distress all because of your negative thoughts- the first thing you should do is 'accepting'. We need to accept and let our brains do what it usually does. Don't push hard to make those thought better.

Focus on what makes your brain to think negatively. Like if you are insecure, fearful, embossed for anything. It can be financial, any relationship issue or anything. If we can resolve or try to minimize those causes, our level of negative thought producing will gradually come low, I guess.

Self-control is also necessary. Don't run by your negative thoughts. Rather try to see the reality, the logic.

We can't control our brain but we surely can have some control over our thoughts. So, I think practice can help in this area. Like thinking more positively, cultivate productive thinking, mindful activities can help us to deal with the negative thoughts in a better way. I hope it helps a little bit!
