For day 3 of the black and white photography challenge, here are some baby Steller's jays from a couple years ago. The parents built a nest right under our deck. Something overturned the nest, but @enak and @scottshots saved all three of them and they survived and flew from the nest. Hopefully, they are the current Steller's jays flying around our yard.
No way to know, but it is nice to believe they are the ones eight outside. There are way more than 3 so at least 1 is probably from that nest. Also they don't remember being saved even though I kinda wish they did. It would be nice.
Very nice. Hopefully they won't build a nest there again... Bad location with the raccoons around.
