What about your Yari Spear?
At 60 inches it's still a ranged weapon, best used topside like repelling boarders rather than in the confines below decks. Below decks I'd turn to my 30 inch Wakazashi sword rather than my Fluffy, my 40 inch battle Katana.
I don't know much about weapons, but you guys have quite a bit of knowledge, very well, let's keep browsing.
There is a Samurai saying, "It is better to be a warrior tending a garden than to be a Gardener in a War." 🌸
Interesting and quite sensible

I just wrote this, look ......(Hi @trumpman ,If you have read the story, I am in danger, I suppose you will help me, maybe you will risk your life to save me, well I DON'T think so hahaha)..........But I can count on you @kerrislravenhill , you have determination, character, the stowaway is in trouble, he DOESN'T know who he's facing, your beautiful face will distract him and that's when YOU will save me.
That's why I'm the Commander. I am not just in service for the country but looking after the welfare of the crew.
Splendid skills!
Thank you @bleujay I put in many hours of weapons practice over the years, including the use of Ninja throwing stars.

Greetings Commander,
It does take practice to be effective...this is quite an impressive skill set.
Thank you for letting me know about the Ninja Throwing Stars. That is too cool.
Kind Regards,
CM Bleujay
I agree with you, it takes practice. The only weapons I have are the kitchen cutlery hahaha
Wow, good weapons
